Title: Stoney Mtn. Classic castings??
Post by: JimF on November 19, 2019, 09:18:19 AM
Anyone built any of SMCC's auto kits?

Are they basically clean up and try to do a neat paint job?

Thanks.

Jim

Jim,

I have never built any of his vehicles.  I have purchased some of his detail castings and found them to be of good quality.  Don't know if this helps...

I've built a bunch of them. They require a little clean up, usually a few pin holes,a good prep job before painting helps. I should do a build thread on one.

Dan,

Beautiful modeling.  I especially like the convertible. Thanks for posting the pics.

Dan,

Those Buicks are beautiful.

Please, yes, do a build if you can find the time. Always of great help to see how a master does it (hoping flattery works lol)
