If you remember back when I did the gas station build I used the office from an old Campbells Supply kit. Well now it's time to rebuild the rest of the building.
Here is a picture with the office removed.

Here I have removed all the signs, the overhang and the wooden legs.

A very good start - I built this one many years ago.
Glad to see this thread, Andy!
I love the Campbells kits, and am anxious to see what you do with
this rebuild! ;D ;D ;D
Guess you can call me a 'Hanger-On'! 8) 8) 8) 8)
John, I built this kit back in 1978 0r 79. It has been on five different layouts. I hate to throw it away so I am rebuilding it as a supply warehouse in the vehicle yard in New Lisbon.

Gnat, glad to see you are looking in.

Hi AK:
I'll be following along. Can't to see what you do with it.
Karl
Very interesting project, I'll be following along.
I cut off the old cardboard roofs and threw them away, they will be replaced with wooden ones. Finished removing what was left of the old signs and added more bracing inside. I added to the bottom for the new stone foundation and painted the dock.

I also cut away the dock from in front of the lean to.

Andy
It is getting cool now.......
The stone foundation is a great idea.....
Thanx
Bob
Bob, In this area with all the sandstone bluffs, just about every old building had a stone foundation. Just trying to keep it true to the area.

Andy........
So do you live somewhere in Wisconsin ? ? ?
I grew up in Chicago and there were huge sand stone quarries on the south side of town. The pits are still there off the south side of the freeway. I suppose there are more most every where.

Hi AK:
Looks great. I really like the stone foundation.
Karl
I've been following this thread and love the reuse of a older model. What did you use for the foundation rocks?
Looks good! I would also like to know what you used for the stone foundation and how you painted / stained it.
The foundation is a embossed sheet from Micro-Mark, It is a self stick paper . I used it many times and like the way it turns out.

Hi AK:
Thanks for the info on the stone sheets.
Karl
They are pretty nice Karl, they are embossed so the mortar lines are recessed and the rocks are bumpy
Hi AK:
Thanks for the reply. I will check into them.
Karl
Roofed, weathered and a few details.

Thanks for the info - I will give it a try. Always looking for new foundation materials - it is the part many kit manufactures leave off.
