So I've started a 1922 Packard from Jordan while the 2020 Quarantine rages on. Mainly I am doing this because I have a limited amount of space on my workbench at home.
These jokers are fiddly.
Jaime
Jaime....
I have built two of these over the years.......... probably the toughest of all of the Jordans.
You are very brave sir.........
see ya
Bob
Jaime, looks like you already succeeded in getting all four wheels level to the ground. You're already doing better than most of my Jordan builds.
Agreed, they are quite fiddly, and some more than others. But gotta love those results. All of my most prized vehicles on my layout currently are Jordans.

Thanks for the kind words.
It's amazing how much detail is in these little jewels.
Once I get the finest of details on (steering wheel, fender brackets and dashboard) it'll be ready for paint.
When I search for Packard trucks on the interwebs I get more results of models than I do the real thing ...
Jaime
My hat is off to you sir. ;) These kits are great but wow, what a challenge. Thanks for sharing.
Very nice Jaime, looks great and looking forward to seeing this with some paint ...
Wonderful little kits to get lost in ....
All the best,
--Paul
Nice! I'm sure when these dinosaur's were roaming the earth a piece of film was spent on something else. You'd probably find them in the background of a Shorpy photo.
Hey Jaime:
Looking really great.
Karl
I'll be looking in Jaime....I can't believe y'all can put those things together without going blind. ::)

Any color photos ?
I have no idea what shade of black to use ;D
Jaime
Jaime,
Looks like your rolling on this build.
Tommy
I love these little Jordans.
Here are a couple of rebuilds in color to give you some ideas. I seem to recall the wheels were usually red, but that could just be the Canadian coming out in me!
I remember seeing one that was all dark brown except the black rubber on the wheels.

Thanks.
The instructions do say to paint the underbody red.

I did a cursory Google search on Antique Packard Trucks and there seems to be a lot of good sources and photos out there.
That same search gave me a lot of local restoration shops nearby. One from your area might have a leads on Packard truck collectors or meets.

Cool.
I'll see what I can find.
The instructions for this kit keep referencing a "figure K" which is totally missing. So I've been having to reference whatever photos I can find to determine where the parts ought to go on the blessed thing.
Jaime
All done gluing on parts and primer is done. I now need to paint it and weather it.
Jaime
And here is all the detail that no one will ever see again....
Jaime
Nice job Jaime.
Jerry
Did you assemble dirst and then prime ? Looks great even just with the primer.

Built chassis, cab and cargo box separately. Then primed.
Will glue all subassemblies together once fully painted and weathered.
Thanks.
Jaime.
Looking really good great.
Thanks for all the feedback.
In between stages on the Jordan I've been building this Paper Creek Models N Scale station.
I have very limited workbench space and I can't have too much liquid stuff near my work laptop, thus the paper model.
Jaime
I can't say I've ever seen one of the paper kits being put together , very interesting.

They are fun.
I built an O Scale one here:
http://modelersforum.com/index.php?topic=4964.0
The O Scale one is easier to demonstrate how they go together. Plus, this N Scale one I'm building I'm not taking photos as I go along to speed up the build.
If you ever have a chance to build one you should take it.
Jaime
I was wasting time on the Facebook and a fellow by the name of Paul Egri posted a design he made fro a cardstock model of a handcar shed. So I built it last night. It was fun and the price was right.
Here you see it below. The handcar is a kit from Grandt Line I built years ago.
Later.
Jaime
Great job on the truck Jaime. I just finished building the same one last night but mine came with the FSM Chippy Hollow I'm building. I have the FIG K diagram if you still need it.

Nice job Jaime , N-scale rocks , you just need smaller fingers ;)
Still working on the N Scale station from Paper Creek. Even though this is tiny it still takes a while to shingle the thing. I really like the Paper Creek shingles. I sure do wish someone would still offer them in larger scales. Clever picked up the Creeky line of shingles and currently only has HO Scale in stock.
Anyway, here is where I am (I am working on three other models along with this one to keep me interested).
Jaime
Hey Jaime:
Wow that's A paper kit. It looks just awesome. I never would have know that had you not mentioned it.
Karl
Looks really well done, I could never ever do an N scale, I have a hard enough time with HO ;D
Super Jaime, that looks really good , I have to take a look if I can find any of their kits.

They are way cool kits. It's too bad they are no longer made.

I know what you mean. There are O sale kits out there like this one. Those really are detailed.

I found this one on eBay. They come up for bid every now and then.
Jaime
Hey jaime:
Yeah I know what you mean. I liked all their paper roof & brick sheets a lot.
Karl
I can't decide if I should paint the cab yellow or leave it in tan. The instructions say:
"Our model is painted yellow with tan stakes, red wheels and red undercarriage."
I'm about 50% done with the detail painting.
Jaime
I'm calling it quits for today. I'd say this Jordan is 90% finished.
Jaime
Quarantine Jordan #2 ready for the paint booth.
