Hey Guys:
Thought you guys might enjoy this photo. My Dad took it many years ago. This is the Structures George used to make FSM's Baxter's Supply. Here's A photo. Hope you like it.

Thanks! Photos of 'vintage' lumber yards aren't all that common (particularly 19th century photos.)

Hey Dave:
You are quite welcome. Glad you enjoyed it.

Karl,
Recall seeing a scratch building article on that building in Model Railroader back in the late 50's, early 60's .
Do you have any info on that ?
Tommy
I don't think the artilcle was that old. It was either 70's or 80's. I think it was either 2 or 3 parts.

I have the article if you need it, I can email a copy.
I only have part I.
John, what magazine/issue for that article?
dave
Hey Guys:
I had one of the magazines that had part of that article in but for the life of me I just can't find it.

Sorry Dave but the footer says page 42 - 46 and Model Railroader, but no date. The author was Aaron G. Fryer - Title Lineside Lumber and supply yard - Part I The prototype picture looks like the same picture as above. The last sentence says continued next month.
Great photo.
It was in MR May 1960 and July 1960
Thanks for the info Karl. :)
Turns out there were 3 articles altogether, MR May-June-July 1960 by Aaron G Fryer. http://www.earlyrail.org/lumberyard.pdf

Thanks for the file Dave.....I'll add it to the list of neat structures to scratch build. :)
To Karl, Dave, Frank, John, Gregory , Bob and all the other detectives out there, great work on finding the information on what this old mind recalls from the past !
Karl thanks for posting that neat photo to start it all !!!
