hi guys,
I bought the Crocker Bros kit on Ebay a while back and started building it, but the sign is missing from the kit..
does anyone have this kit that they could take a straight - on photo of it and post it? --- I can resize it on my Inkscape program....
thanks!
Bob
Bob,
Here's a scan. I have no idea why it is upside down. I've flipped and saved it twice. It is right side up when opened on my computer but each time I attach the file here it is upside down. Sorry...
Thanks Jerry!
that was quick! Much appreciated!

Bob,
You're welcome.
thanks to Jerry, I got the sign-- printed and mounted!
Bob,
You're a really fast builder! ;D ;D
Looks really nice Bob.
Nice looking structure Bob..... :)
Great looking structure, appreciate you sharing.
-Steven
Gorgeous build, Bob!
Looks great Bob. What did you use for the wall coloring?
Hey Bob:
The windows & doors, Siding and signs look just great.
Kar.
Thanks guys!!
well, what started as a request for the sign--- (Jerry came to my rescue so quickly!)..... I guess I can turn this thread into a build thread (already in progress).
As for the wall coloring, this is what I did: after distressing the clapboard siding, the walls were hit with Hunterline Black Stain.. After this dried, I used Dr. Ben's Aged Driftwood stain. After that dried I hit the walls again with the Hunterline Black. The nail holes and where the siding is damaged I used the Pan Pastel. The skirting on the bottom of the mill I used AK Interactive Grimy Slime Dark over the driftwood stain instead of the Hunterline. after that dried, then some dry-brushing with craft paint white.
The side wall of the elevator structure was just begging for a sign (the prototype didn't have one here)....
The shingles are Campbell's ,, on the roll. I love these shingles (I know many out there hate them).
The storage shed construction is the usual board on board over the template. I stained everything to match the main mill.
Bob,
The skirting looks great with that touch of AK Interactive Grimy Slime Dark. :) The whole thing looks great but I really like that little touch on the skirting. :D
The sign looks great! I also like the weathering, thank you for showing us what you used to create the effect. I am going to order some of that Hunterline stain, I heard good things about it.
-Steven
Also, thanks for reminding me that the old Campbell shingles can still look good. I just need to remember to spend some time creating some variation by lifting.
Looks like you are moving right along.
Karl
thanks for following along guys!
moving along on the storage shed,,, got the roof details done on the mill. I glued down the mill on the base, and put some ground foam where the loading docks go...
Looks Amazing! What color did you use for the main structure?
-Steven
Hey Bob:
Looks just beautiful. Love the color you used on the walls. Can't wait to see more.
Karl
Looks great Bob and very nice color.
thanks guys,,,
Steve, go to page 1, I describe what I did for the walls to get the color.
I started building the last structure, which is the coal shed. This one is a bit time consuming- and a bit fragile.
I'm late to the party, Bob, but glad I checked in. This one is looking fantastic. I would have been hesitant about using that combination of heavy stains on the walls, but you pulled off a definite winning combination. As everyone else is noting, that resulting wall color is really nice!

Thanks George! I weighted them down after applications!
