Title: FSM Building
Post by: Keep It Rusty on October 20, 2020, 03:02:46 PM
Hi everyone,

First time poster, long time lurker!

Wondering if you can help. This building, found near the Emporium Seafood Co., is (according to George) an old plaster kit. Do any of you recognize what kit it is or whom in came from? My first thought was an Railway Design Associates kit, but I'm not seeing anything resembling it in their archives.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Thanks!

The building was first made in plaster by Crow River Products and was called the Union Dredging Company.
The structure was remade by another company called Hobby Gallery in resin.
They come up on the internet for sale every now and then.
Search under those three names mentioned.
The two photos show the resin version by Hobby Gallery under construction.

I agree!

There are a lot of great buildings on the F&SM - but I think this one is my favourite.

Cheers, Mark.

Unfortunately the Hobby Gallery is no longer making or selling the kit.

So my request to all those that have one and could be selling still stands :)

I might have a resin version buried in my stash. I'll let you know before the end of the weekend.

I have one of the original CC Crow structures...

Quick scan of the photo in the kit.

Here's what came in it...

Note the plans say it's "153 of 200."

You'll need to add a lot to create the FSM building from the F&SM.  ::)
