Title: So long 99 cent Walmart gray primer
Post by: NEMMRRC on January 01, 2021, 05:16:41 PM
Today I used up the very last drop of my Walmart 99 cent gray primer spray cans. I have not seen it stocked at Walmart for almost 4 years now. This primer went on smooth, sprayed on thin so it did not obscure details, dried super flat and made a great use for other paints.

I will miss you Walmart gray spray primer for 99 cents....

Whilst it's not 99 cents, this will fill that hole in your heart almost exactly:

Let me know what you think. For me, it did everything the same as the Walmart spray :)

Yep but their nozzles  rot and clog up easy. End up trashing mostly fill cans because of it.

Yeah, I'll second that. I would say it is probably more often than not that I have a can of Rustoleum paint that either sputters or runs out of pressure before I run out of paint. And, I try to clear out the nozzle after each use.

It does take me several months to go thru a can. Perhaps that is part of the equation. Maybe using it all at once would get better results. 'Course, I don't need it all at once....

It's become a religious ritual for me to turn the can upside down and spray two or three squirts after each time I use any spray paint can. I have had good luck with that practice for keeping the nozzles clear. However, I will make a note of this. Also, I clean up the nozzles from used cans and keep the extra nozzles just in case.
