Morning all,

Amazing no rain this morning. I can put the ark back. Rain maybe later this afternoon.

My plan is to work on the layout.

Have a dry day ya'll.

Morning,

It is getting chilly today.

I have been scanning DV camcorder tapes for the past 2 days. I have another 24 HI 8 camcorder tapes that I can't view because my Sony FX710 has busted.

Once all this scanning gets done it will be back to midelling.

Morning, all.

Except for a few drops, the 80% chance of rain yesterday missed us.  Cooler today.  I did actually work on the layout yesterday, then spent an hour looking for sidewalks that I knew were here somewhere.  Eventually found them in a drawer I'd already looked in.   ::)

Morning all,

Yep, sunny out this morning.  The hurricane the weather weenies were all excited about spared us here in Central Florida.  I can't speak for the gulf coast though.

Kind of messy inside this empty gondola.

Good morning! Raining here again - things are kinda soggy. I'm working on the railroad, today.  I hope everyone has a great day. Another photograph from the F&SM.

Morning all.

Currently counting the days until September. My first F&SM visit.

May go into hibernation until then.

I'm excited for anyone making their first trip to Craftsman Mecca (the FSM). All I can say is that it can be overwhelming. In my experience, I could only take 45 mins before my brain was overflowing with data, inspiration, amazement...for those of us in this kind of forum, it's just an incomprehensible amount of achievement and detail. Every square foot (and there are many) is so packed with detail and well-thought out design, it's just hard to take in. You can look at pictures of the Grand Canyon your whole life, but then when you see it in person -there just are no words. George just clearly has an eye for scenery that is just "different". Not to mention an incredible degree of productivity...it just looks like it would take a good-sized club of master builders several generations to do. I'm not exaggerating when I say that, IMO, you could cut out just about any square foot of this massive layout and it would take home Best-in-Show diorama at most conventions...and it all blends together beautifully at the same time...Lots of flowery words, I know - but you'll see. ;)
