Good morning! A cool, soggy start to the day here. I'm planning on getting some train stuff done in the morning, then chores later today. First, coffee.
Morning Mark and others,
Nothing exciting here to report. My plan is to work on the layout.
Have a great day ya'll.
Tom ;D
Good Morning Mark, Tom and those that follow. Hope to get 9 holes in, then doc appointment and hopefully work on layout. Hope everyone has a great Monday.

Morning, all.
My last day of vacation. A trip to the grocery store later this morning. Did work on the layout for about an hour yesterday, hope to get back to it today as well.

...and accounted for.
Morning,
While driving home from Ottawa I noticed that the Sumacs were already turning their fall colours of orange. Way too early!
Morning ramblers.
Have a great start to the week!
Today is all work here.
Morning everyone
A sunny/68 here in South Jersey.
Later on 81!
Dr. appointment later today! Then hopefully some time on the Mill.
Everyone have a wonderful day!! :)

Well, July went a long way to curing our drought, but we're still below average rainfall. And the last several days have felt more like mid September than the start of August (I am NOT complaining about that!)
Today I'll start installing those SwitchWrights I assembled over the weekend. Installation is in 2 steps. The first is mechanical, where I get the machine installed and check out the action. The second step is wiring everything up (including frog polarity switching.)

Morning y'all
Morning...
Overcast today so far...had a family come in to the candy shop several weeks ago...
Gave them each a free piece of candy since they were riding the train in town that day...found out he was a model railroader...
Received an invite to visit his empire which was very unexpected since we never meet before and exchanged our info for him to come here too...
Time to get on track...
Tommy
Afternoon all,
Forget to check in this morning. It's been that kind of day at work. ::)

Have a great one!
Good afternoon, all,
Spent the day with my grandsons, but now some quite time for me as they have their daily chores.
Bob, nice pic of the container train--assuming you took that either in Enola or Harrisburg. It's probably headed to or from the NS container yards in Rutherford. Those yards are all but next to my house and I am fortunate enough to get to see the big Norfolk Southern diesels in action daily.
Have a great day, everyone.

Opa George - that picture was taken on your side of the river and the train was heading out over the Rockville Bridge. :)
I was standing on the street with my brother when I took that shot. I was sorely tempted to walk over there to get some shots of the train out on the bridge but I figured the N&S Security would likely get upset with me for trespassing on their property so I chickened out. ;D
It's a law when installing switch machines: One of the machines will need to go where there's a joist in the benchwork.

Ah, memories of my childhood. I grew up right next to the Reading main line running east out of Harrisburg. We built our forts in the rocky banks that flanked the main and lived on the constant lookout for "railroad cops" and "hoboes," both of which our parents used as specters to keep us off the tracks. It didn't work, and we all learned at a young age to read the signals and knew when a train was due.
Good evening! Real late checkin for me, tonight. I had a busy day - enough said. Time to get some rest before it's time to checkin, tomorrow. ;)
