Happy hump day. Not many more of these for me. I let my company know that I would be retiring on Sep 3. Looking forward to whatever's next.
Yes, Bob -- that just one more PI Planning session!
Good morning! A cool, cloudy start to the day here. Congrats on the upcoming retirement Vince! Not much going on today, so I'll sneak down to the cellar later for some train fun.

Morning all,
Congrats Vince on the coming event.
I edged and cut the grass yesterday and then spent some time working on the layout.
Had a Zoom meeting with Bruce Oberleitner last night. Like the SBGs we had a great BS session.
Rain again this morning. Have a great day ya'll.
Tom ;D

Morning,
More gardening (exercise) today.
Good Morning All,
Mom passed away this last weekend and family were able to say our goodbyes. I've taken a couple of days to clear the mind. Dad is in failing health so the push for me now is to make sure everything is done that can be for when he passes.
Anyway, I'm back again for what's it worth. I do need to start a build thread for the BTS Cabin Creek Mine that I have been slowly working on since January. I recieved it around the time Mom got sick. I think I'm about 75% complete. The last major step is exterior lighting which I'm really not looking forward to.
I hope everyone has a good day.
Curt - Condolences to you and your family. We'll have you in our thoughts and prayers.
Curt,
Very sorry to hear of your mother's passing. Thoughts and prayers for you and the family.
Tom :'(
Morning all,
Vince - Congratulations!!! You beat me to it! But that's still one PI planning session too many. ;D ;D ;D
Not much to report on this end. The better half had to return to work today (elementary school). Junior and I are still working from home. ;)

Have a great one!
Sorry to hear of your sad news Curt,
Curt - Joining the others in condolences. Jim
Good morning! Curt my condolences to you and your family. I hope the modeling work helps with the healing. I know it has helped me.
Vince congratulations on your retirement announcement - I look forward to seeing the pictures of all the great modeling to come.
I have been at my cabin (S&S RR Northern HQTRS.) dealing with police reports etc. from a break in. It seems someone thought they deserved the fishing tackle in my boat that was in my locked garage more than I did. I'm not a happy property owner right now.
I hope everyone has a great day.
Morning ramblers.
Curt -- so sorry to hear of the news. My thoughts are with you.
Today, for me, is going to be spent working and driving a two-hour round trip to collect a glass window for my vandalized truck. I was lucky to find it at a salvage yard, since being discontinued. Yesterday, UPS delivered one I ordered from a yard in NJ... in about a million pieces. Couldn't believe it.
Will be nice to get it done. It's been a little... noisy... without it.
Morning everyone
Curt sorry to hear about your Mom payers for her.
John & Craig talking about bad luck just a shame can't leave other people's stuff alone!
Weather in South Jersey cloudy/70.
Did a little work on the main roof for the Mill.
Everyone have a wonderful day!! :)
Jerry

Greetings.
Condolences to Curt's family.
Hoping all are finding plenty of time to keep the hobby going forward.
Back to work. I found a small break in between work tasks.
Later.
Jaime
Condolences to Curt and family!
More work on switch machines today, I think. Apparently parts for those are getting hard to get, due to the chip shortage...
John, I found your articles on top-mounted switch machines. (http://www.modelersforum.com/index.php?topic=4531.420 (http://www.modelersforum.com/index.php?topic=4531.420)) Unfortunately, I'm installing a machine into a turnout that is already laid in place.
add: Success! The turnout in question is under the blue arrow. What I did was turn the layout lights on, then from underneath I could spot the throw bar hole. There's double-sided tape on the switch machine, so once I pushed the rod through the hold, the tape held the switch machine into position. I immediately apply a hemostat clamp to the rod on the top side, to make sure it doesn't fall back out. Then I adjusted the machine for centering, and screwed the bracket into place. It's more than 2' from the layout edge to this turnout's throwbar (under the blue arrow - wide angle photo...)
