This is my current build started back in January. The pictures today are of a hill I had to build for the mine legs to sit on.
In the first photo the brown section is plaster cloth covered WS risers. I then used cardboard strips attached by hot glue. The wood faces came in the kit but bracing and NBW's (in kit) had to be added. I stained them in Hunterline Creosote stain. I added two flat pieces of wood painted in MM Aged Concrete to simulate "footers" for the wooden legs.
In the second photo the stripes are covered with plaster cloth, painted and ground cover applied.
Looking forward to seeing this one come together Curt..... :)
Greg- Thanks for following.
I'm going to post photos of previous progress on the mine. For some reason I can't shrink down the interior bracing of the tipple ::)
More photos
Still more photos.
And more photos. The balcony was not in the kit since the decking was supposed to sit on the hill which it obviously doesn't.
More photos
Still more. I probably still have about 25% to go beyond the last photo.
That looks nice. Very nice.
Hey Curt:
Wow!!!! looks just fantastic so far. Like the colors you used.
Karl
Yikes, that was fast.....looks great Curt.....can't wait to see it in person. 8)
Excellent work, Curt. I'm checking in late on this build, but really enjoying what you've done.

Really nice Work, Curt.
Its a real eye catcher of kit, especially with all the timberwork underneath. The colour scheme is very nice. Great to see the barge boards in the correct place. Workmanship is top notch.
Cheers, Mark.
Curt,
That really looks great. Very well done. Time lapse photos are wonderful.
Look forward to seeing you next Saturday.
Tom ;D
Thank you Bob, Karl, Greg, George, Mark, and Tom. I really appreciate you following along the kind words.
Greg- I couldn't tell if you thought I did everything in a couple days or not, but it took 7 months to get to this point :)
Curt
Really looks great.
Curt,
That's a really nice looking structure.
It will generate lots of hopper traffic too...well done and looking great.
Tommy
