Hi folks,
Do you ever get something in your head and can't let it go? I have wondered for some time now why old factory windows have painted or stained glass panes. Why are only some colored? Is it just replacement over time. I have searched rather extensively tonight and can not find the answer.

While I don't have an answer, I always told myself they painted over the glass panes to filter out sunlight at a particular spot inside the building.
