Well, this morning (instead of spending time on the exercise machine) I went back to the last switch machine (the one that's far away) and checked the frog polarity. Of course, it was wrong, so I reversed the wires. That's when I found a short (frog was getting power from one rail regardless of point position/relay setting.) I found a spike that was probably causing the problem, removed it, and the problem remained. So I futzed with the wiring, removing and reinstalling wires, and eventually the problem fixed itself. Hopefully this problem won't return! (See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heisenbug for a good technical term you can throw out when debugging wiring...)
The next step is to add the switch machine power feeds (from the Tam Valley 12v to 5v conversion board.) One difference between the Tam Valley and Walthers servo turnout motors is power source. Walthers must do the 12v to 5v conversion on the switch machine board. This means more custom jumper cable construction, along with some time underneath the layout to connect things. What a rat's nest of wiring! (This is the most complex part of the layout from a wiring/turnout perspective, with lots of both standard and narrow gauge turnouts in close proximity.)

For Tom Langford's post............ The Chevrolet trucks a really cool. Where was that photo taken. That structure has some possibilities. Looks a lot like a modified Campbell Brice Mills kit as a starting point.
For the other Tom........ I have not seen an end opening box like that. The doors are sure beat up.

Update on Dan:
I just talked to Raymo by way of txt messages. He is home and doing well, considering all the work he had done. Dealing with the many affects of post op but, doing okay. He is managing the pain with some good drugs. :o ::) He told me to tell everyone hi and that he will be back on the forum soon.
