I got more work done yesterday on the layout. Today I need to edge and cut the grass. That will wear me out so not sure I'll get any layout stuff done. Hopefully I'll get updated on my thread.

Good morning! Raining here at the moment, so outdoor activities are on hold. I'll sneak down to the cellar and do something on the layout for a while, right after breakfast.
Good morning! We have new carpet in about a third of the house, they will be back this morning for round 2. I think it's going to take weeks to get the house back together but we have new paint and new carpet which keeps the CFO happy. Happy CFO - happy railroad. I hope everyone has a great day. Didn't get much accomplished yesterday, but I'm probably "getting my hour in". So little rain here the last two weeks, I don't need to mow today as I had planned.

Dog sitting again. Had to get up and get her out for "the long walk" prior to the heat settling in for today.
Back from a two day sojourn to Gettysburg, PA. The outcome of the conflict hasn't changed since I was there in the 1950's but the way the story is presented has certainly changed. The Foundation that runs the Park has done a super job showing how bad things were for both sides and where the major mistakes were made.
Promise to try and accomplish something useful today for a change.
At work, but looking forward to a bit of layout time this evening. We had much needed rain yesterday, so the garden and pond are in good shape.
I've started terra forming on the layout around the Rust Rock main structure, now in place. Lots of changes in elevation, a canal, five waterfalls and some special rock features--lots to do!
Fortunately, my three new rock molds from Joel Bragdon arrived in the mail Monday. I've already made plaster castings and they look great. Pics soon.
BandOGuy--that would have been a hot and sweaty visit to the Gettysburg battlefield, I imagine. I am fortunate to live about 40 minutes away and visit often and do occasional volunteer work picking up trash around monuments with our local historical society. Just took my grandsons last week. We climbed Big Round Top together and I swear that hill gets taller every year! ;)
