I think Dad's room is finally ready to go. He flies in tomorrow. Will be going to the old house to do more work today. Can't get at the layout yet because of sewing room boxes still in the way (but getting better). Have a retirement party to go to tonight for a friend that's decided he has had enough of the department.

Good morning! The rain has finally stopped. My lawn is covered with green levels and branches that got stripped off the trees from the winds. It was a very strange three day long storm for this part of the country. We lost power a number of times but not for very long. Now, for some modeling. I hope everyone has a great day. From the F&SM:

Fall has arrived in reality as the heat's on this morning. That was quick. Last week temps were in the 80's.

Just back from a trip to Dollar General to stock up on essential supplies. Diet Pepsi!
John, I can relate. We had rain most of yesterday and got off lightly compared to some of the neighboring areas. Parts of Delaware County east of me (and the former home of the Delaware & Northern) got 3" of rain in just a few hours yesterday when the front stalled. My power went out Thursday evening while I was modeling and didn't come back on until just before midnight. There were a couple brief power outages yesterday, too.
I did work on the layout yesterday and checked my thread. I need to get some photos and update the thread!

Good morning. Another beautiful cool clear day in Central Virginia. Max(the dog) is having problems with his rear legs. Hopefully the vet's drugs and laser treatment will improve things. Neither of us is a happy camper these days. Jim

Tom, isn't skin cancer part of the 'cost of living in Florida'? :-[ Hope they got it all. I have a friend who got a touch of that, his military service was on submarines so we used to rag him about "How do you get skin cancer on a sub?"
There have been some changes over at Railroad-Line.com. Whatever they did fixed most of the "403" errors I was getting, so I now rate that forum as "usable" ...
