Morning all,
The MRI went as planned. It was a 2.5 hour MRI. During the test the power went out but the emergency generator kick in immediately. Thank goodness they didn't loose any images or the test would have to be repeated.
Results will be on Tuesday afternoon.
Have a great day ya'll.
Tom ;D
Good Morning Tom and all who follow. Now the waiting, I know the feeling Tom. You've had quite a year, hope they get you back together with little in the way of more surprises. Deb and I have you in our prayers.

Glad things went as planned, Tom, power outage excepted. Wishing for the best possible results for you.
Grocery shopping after breakfast, then I'm driving downt to Timonium for the big train show.
Have a good weekend everyone!

Good Morning All,
Glad it got done Tom. Today the plumber will be here shortly to finish hookup of the shower fixtures except the missing set :(. Afterwards I'm hanging pictures for Dad and doing chores around the house. Wife and daughter are running the estate sale today and tomorrow.
I hope everyone has a good day.
Good morning! Tom good luck on your results, Tuesday. We have been having beautiful fall weather here the last few days. I hope everyone has a great weekend. From the F&SM:

Still chilling.
Chilly this AM in Reading country.
Baseball, grandkids and more baseball on tap for today.
Enjoy whatever you're up to today.

As I recall, MRI machines take a lot of power, that must have been quite the generator! Glad they didn't lose any data.
Today is the city Apple Harvest Festival, we'll probably go walk around town and get our 3rd Covid shot if the line isn't too long.

Good morning!
Rooting for you that the results are good Tom .
Good Morning All. Dennis

Things to do around the house today!
Everyone have a wonderful day!! :)

Rain today here...good luck on the test results Tom.
Good morning. Beautiful Fall day in the Piedmont of Central Virginia. We're rooting for you Tom! Jim
Good morning all,
You certainly had a few challenges getting that test done Tom. I hope that's the end of the challenges.
Some workbench time this afternoon. I got a mess of little projects I need to work on. Mostly painting detail castings and what not. Maybe a little lighting work too. I need to get this stuff finished so I can clean off my workbench while I ponder what to build next. ;)

Tom, good luck with your test results. I'm sure you'll be fine.
Dave, most MRI's are superconductive magnets, so they're self-sustaining. All of the electricity goes to the computer racks and critical cooling systems. If the magnet gets too warm and quenches, they're in big trouble, but basically it's just a big refrigerator magnet with some fancy life support...not losing the fresh images was a good break. Some of the lower field (often "open") MRI's are electromagnets, that you turn off at night, but those are increasingly rare.
