Good morning! Wet, foggy morning to start the day off here. Temps hitting 60 today? Yep. Crazy weather for sure. Errands this morning, then some train stuff this afternoon. I finally got one work bench "finished" (as in cleaned/organized) enough to start working on it again. Now for the other bench....ugh! But worth the effort.

Good morning forumite's. I've been kinda absent here lately, the last two weeks could have been better. I went back to work on Nov. 30th, and an hour into the day I got a call my mother had a pretty good fall, and she spent the night in the hospital looking like she went 9 rounds with the champ. She ended up back in the ER on Sunday and again on Tuesday. She spent 2 nights at the hospital and now is in rehab. My sister came down from Maine last weekend and from the git-go was sick and vomiting. She ended up in another ER bed the same time my mother was there on Tuesday. Her husband came down and took her home but her car is still here. I'm bringing it back tomorrow and taking the Downeaster home. Anybody up for a build challenge this winter?
Good Morning Folks;
I am caught up on the Tom's report of the modern medical industry, Tom sorry you are going though such a long drawn out ordiel. Raymo, you too are having a very hard time. Then I read that up to 100 are dead from tornadoes during the night. I think I might just have another cup of coffee and be happy for what I have.
For myself, each day gets better and the soreness is beginning to fade. I like Raymo's idea of a winter challenge. It is always fun following along on the builds others create. Well off for that coffee, then perhaps bench time.

Morning, all.
Hopefully better times ahead, Dan. I'm heading to work soon for another four day siege. I'll only be working two days a week after the first of the year (and still every third weekend), so hopefully no more than two days in a row most weeks. I'll have more time to devote to the build challenge. 8)

Morning,
The Christmas tree is finally up and ready to be decorated by my wife. I think I will head to the garage and hid until it is done.
Good morning.
Raining steadily here, forecast calls for it to be an all day event. I'll be working on the layout. Yesterday I managed to finish up most of the wiring on the original section of the layout. I made some changes to the track work (and moved the road) so I have some more track to put down and wiring to complete. I'm still using the temporary control panel and power pack shelf I made before, I just wanted to get everything operational for testing both track and wiring. I was able to run an engine around most of the trackage on that section. I found a couple issues, one with a switch (fingers crossed I got that worked out); and one where the flex track sections join on a curve. No derailments, but the transition just isn't smooth so I am debating ripping out a bout 8-10" of track in the area and replacing it, moving where the sections join togther.
Dan and Tom, sorry to read about all the medical issues surrounding the two of you. Hopefully you will both be blessed with better days in the near future.
Everyone have a safe and productive day!
Good morning! Dan you need some workbench time. Life gets crazy some times. I'm up for a challenge build - I will decide on what to build and do a proper build thread when the time comes. Prayers for all the people affected by the storms. I hope everyone has a great day. From the F&SM:

Good Morning All,
Finally figured out the loco issues after about 4 hours. An xacto knife was partially shorting the layout. Power was coming on then shorting out then coming back on again continuously. It was covered by a tub of ground cover. Everything was tested and works fine now.
Rail painting today then the Army-Navy game. Go Navy beat Army.
I hope everyone has a good day.
Light rain in SE NH, colder tomorrow then warm for the start of the week. I'm OK with that, the yard guy is supposed to finish fall cleanup Monday or Tuesday. Then as far as I am concerned, it can start snowing (except for a couple days after New Years, when we have some travel scheduled.)
Go Army beat Navy!

Morning all,
Wow...a lot to catch up on this morning.
Mark - Cleaning the second workbench should be easy. Just put the stuff you don't know what to do with on the first workbench. ;D
Raymo - Already got my build challenge kit picked out. It'll be something very different for me. So sorry to hear about you mothers fall and sisters' illness. Hopefully both recover quickly.
Tom - Hang in there. I know you really want to get this over with and get back to work on the layout. We're all praying for you and sending good thoughts your way.
Looks like the afternoon may be mine. I'm going to try my hand at painting brick. Wish me luck. ::)

We had snow...son-in-law just plowed our driveway...missed the big snow of 20 inches that came 1 hour south of here...
Tommy
Mornin' all....
Big blow coming through......... snow over 5500 feet and rain in the valley at 2500 feet. I think summer might be over in downtown Idaho.
Good excuse for some bench time. Made some progress on the school house. Photos later.
Have a good one.
see ya

A rainy day here in South Jersey. But warm with temp near 65!
A couple of errands to run hopefully in between rain drops.
Everyone have a wonderful day!! :)
