Title: How to videos?
Post by: Graffen on December 20, 2021, 05:41:46 PM
Hi all, I sometimes do how to videos on various modeling subjects that I publish on YouTube.
It would be fun to get some viewers though...  ??? 8)
Here's the latest I did:

Michael,

I have read about how to do this type of peeling paint.  For some reason I expected it to be far more involved.  Your video shows how easy it really is to get a great peeling paint result.  Thanks for making the video and posting the link.

Thanks.  I'll have to remember to check it out when I'm not on the work PC where YouTube is forbidden.   :P

Yes, thanks a lot for the posting. MUCH simpler than other techniques I have seen where you have to put the thinner on the wood first, let it dry, paint over it with the acrylic, let it dry, then use some tape or scrub with watery, stiff brush to "chip" it.

Michael I just watched the video. I think you are asking for some feed back on presentation. To that: Overall very good. I like video's that get straight to the point. Personally, I also like silent videos that use straight forward writing, what I call the 'show and tell' method. Music in background is fine, usually I just turn off sound when watching. So overall a B+, it missed an A because I would have liked to see how the technique looked on a finished kit.

I am going to try this technique on next building.  Thanks for sharing, please post more as finished.

Thanks! The next video will be both longer and more complete.

Very well done.  I do like the presentation mode as well.
