Morning, all.

Where is everybody?  I slept really late after watching the Patriots actually look like a football team last night.

I did a lot of outside work yesterday as it was so nice out, supposed to be in the 50s again today, but it'll be basement clean up today.

Good morning Dr. Jeff and everyone checking in later.  Snow on the ground to start the day but I doubt it will last very long as the forecast is calling for temperatures later today in the mid-40's.

Last evening I finished up all the construction phase for a Colorado Midland boxcar I have been building.  Next up is paint.  If all goes according to plan, photos later in the day.

I hope everyone has a safe and rewarding day!

Have a safe and healthy day ya'll.

Sunny but chilly in SE NH, I think it's up to 25 now.  Last night I worked on some Tichy fences, including constructing a gate.  Today I'll take a look at the mock-up and probably prime them if I like how they look.  The other package of fencing materials (CV) is still bouncing around the USPS system.  (That's better than the one Amazon order, which got to the local distribution point and then "fell off the truck" a week ago.  I cancelled that order, found something else cheaper, that should be delivered today.  But I won't believe that until I have the package in my hands.)

(fence test fit.  And the water tank is also just test-fit, I know it's badly out of plumb.)

Good morning all,

I'm off today so I've caught up on the news, played some games on my tablet, etc.  Wife is about to leave for work.  When she does, I'll be home alone.  I'll do some yard work first and then, after lunch, settle in for an afternoon of movies and workbench time.

Have a great one!

I wanted to post a photo, so this is a trial run.  Cross your fingers this works, lol.

Assuming I get this right, I built this Campbell kit as a way to recognize John Siekirk's Gazette.  For anyone not "in the know", John put together this e-publication after the forum's demise as a way to share our modeling efforts.

Anyway, here goes nothing...

Good afternoon , I'm having a miserable day, yesterday evening I had an accident , I hit an 84 old man on a bicycle with my car. It was at a very busy roundabout where 5 streets come together and 6 bicycle paths , the man did not have lights on his bicycle , I didn't see him . In the Netherlands cyclists and pedestrians are protected , so eventhough he was fault not having lights , my insurance will have to pay and I am to blame.  Most important the man called me from hospital this afternoon and was feeling alright and should recover full . I lost my Dad at 88 this summer , would hate to be the one that ( accidentally or not ) takes away someones father or grandfather.

Jan,

I'm sorry that happened, though it has to be a huge relief that he was not more seriously injured.

Happy Friday!

The sun is out and the bit of snow on the 2000 feet of driveway is melting.

Looking forward to being caught up on orders this week and a weekend spent designing new kits.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Good Afternoon,

Just got up from a nap. I'm feeling a bit better but still have fatigue. I did a couple of chores today but no workbench time.

Jan I'm glad everything worked out with the man.

I hope everyone has a good night.

Late checkin - I got a great excuse - I have been at my workbench all day.

Okay, so I tried to post a picture a few days ago and it came out looking like a postage stamp.  Jerry what did you do to go from the small picture earlier in the day to the bigger one showing your Catskill Gazette build???

Thank you for the tribute!

Does PM messages work on this version of the forum?  I can't find a way to do it.

John, be sure to read my post in "The Yard" board on posting photos. Also, the forum now accepts up to 5mb attachments so as long as your source photo is of good quality, it will be here too.

PM's are 100% functional — all aspects
of the forum are, actually. In fact, you should find all your old PM's are still there.

Hi, Good to be back. Tom told me the forum was on the mend. Too bad I couldn't say the same for my computer.  It looks like the power supply gave out and I've switched over to my tablet for a while while I wait on parts.  So I guess you could say I know what this year's Christmas present is!
