Title: Wednesday - January 10, 2024
Post by: ReadingBob on January 10, 2024, 07:45:50 AM
Morning all,

How about we start the day with a right proper English Breakfast?  Sausages, back bacon, eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms, fried bread, and beans?  A spot of tea, English Breakfast of course, to boot.

Nothing to report on the workbench front.  Unfortunately.

I recently started reading Patrick Stewarts memoir, "Making it So". I'm still in his early years. He pointed out that he's a "Trainspotter". He loves trains and, as a child at least, loved finding a spot near the tracks to watch them go.  The thrill was spotting a 'named' locomotive (most were numbered but some had names). Fun stuff.

Have a great one!

Bob... your English breakfast sounds great.....Breakfast Bread from Publix for me this morning. A sweet brown bread with nuts and dried fruit.

A first run through on my income tax for me today so I know how much to send in on my estimated payment next week. Thank goodness for TurboTax.

Pretty rough weather in Central Florida yesterday evening but we faired okay

Morning, all.

Thanks for the breakfast, Bob.

We got fifteen inches of snow officially, but I think a bit more here when I was digging out a spot in the yard for the dog.  Everyone's favorite wet, heavy, "heart attack" snow.

Yesterdays drives were unpleasant, especially on the way home.  Almost an hour for my 25 mile commute.  Did OK, but got stuck in the driveway.  :P  My neighbor has a plow, and did the street and his/mine/another neighbors driveways (after I got the car unstuck and into the garage).  I'm glad I got the big two stage snow blower a couple of years ago just for snow like this.

Morning,

I feel so lucky that all we got was some rain and and a few flakes of snow. The basement only leaked a gallon of water.

I am still trying to spike a smooth s-curve on the diorama.

Good Morning Everyone;

Bran Flakes is going to have to work for me today, and coffee, lots of coffee. Chilly but sunny today. I had sleeping issues last night so got some design and testing work done on windows for the second story of the clothing factory. I imagine I will get some more done as the day goes by. Nothing else exciting unless you count seeing the Dermatologist. Have a great day.

Well, we got a little snow, then it changed to rain last night.  After over an inch of rain, the roads and driveway are clear, the yard has patchy ice spots, and now it's bright and sunny.  Yesterday at this time it was 16, right now here (SE NH) it's 50.

I actually prefer Irish Breakfast (Assam based) tea, but English is fine, too.  Beans always struck me as a strange breakfast food, but I still eat them when visiting Blighty.

Instead of working on the brickworks, I spent some time yesterday afternoon talking to some old friends.  One called, and when we were discussing what to get the other guy for a retirement gift, he called.  It was good to catch up.

Morning everyone

After a very windy/rainy night.  The sun is back after 3 days in South Jersey.
Lots of stuff got blown around but no damage to anything important!!

A couple of errands this morning then hopefully some bench time.

Everyone have a great day!!  :)

Morning all.....no grousing from here about our 51° cloudless weather after hearing about what y'all are having in your areas.

Bob, we had a few of those English breakfasts in the Cotswolds when we were over there, but they served it with "blood sausage". It sounds disgusting and didn't look much better.  :o

Good morning.

We only had about a half an inch of rain here, but it was enough to melt most of the snow.  Most of what is left is what was pushed up from plowing.  Unfortunately, we're back to our dark gray skies with no end in sight (again!).  Still, could be worse, we could have been blessed with a lot more of the white stuff than we received.  (My condolences to Dr. Jeff.)

Some bench time planned for later today.  I hope everyone has a great day!

Afternoon All,

Spent the day painting the tavern parts except the 2 detail parts. After that MOH and I went to ALDI for a couple of things.

We received 2" of rain last night during the storms.

I hope everyone has a good night.
