Morning all,
A chilly day here in the not so sunny lately Sunshine State. 41 degrees at the moment. It should warm up later today and the rest of the week looks a little better.
Let's see, one long, boring, meeting scheduled for this morning. I'll try to do something productive while not really listening to what's being covered. One short, but somewhat meaningful meeting this afternoon. I'm really not going to miss these meetings once I hang it up.
No workbench time last night. I need twenty to thirty minutes to wrap up the little bar I'm currently working on. I'm pleased with how it's turning out.
Have a great one!
Morning all.....burrrrrrrrrrrrr!
Morning all,
I see Greg is very laquacious this morning. But it is burrrrrrrr for us crackers.
Bench time for me today. Yea!
Have a safe, warm and healthy day ya'll.
Tom
Morning all. I just found out the forum is back again, really pleased that it is. And yeah, pretty chilly out there, for SC. Starting Carrick's Corner today, if all goes well.
Good morning.
Jim, welcome aboard. I have corresponded with Jim via email very sporadically for the past few years. I mentioned to him this morning that this group was back on line and he obviously wasted no time checking in.
Symmetry rules this morning, at least weather-wise. I received 4" of snow yesterday according to my old fashioned folding carpenter's rule. And, it is now 4 degrees F to start today. How about that? Who said Mother Nature doesn't plan ahead? Factoring in the wind chill, we're looking at negative double digits. All things being equal, that is most likely close to a heat wave for our mid-western friends.
If the wind dies down some later today I'll use the tractor to plow my driveway. Plowing when it is very windy involves getting some fresh air for no good reason. The wind will blow the driveway full of snow and I'll just have to plow it again. My vehicle is four wheel drive, so I am sure I can get out (and back in) if necessary without plowing, not that I plan to go anywhere today.
Everyone stay warm and safe today!
Welcome back Jim..... :)
We got 4" of nice fluffy snow yesterday, so everything looks like a post card today. It's chilly, 16 when I took the dogs out, and won't get above freezing for the next couple of days. Seasonal weather for NH in January.
I finished the window glazing yesterday on the brickworks. Today i'll do signs and then install windows & doors.
add: One side finished. I'll brush a coat of matte finish over the sign.

Morning, all.
Hurray, we're above zero today headed toward a high of 21.
No plans for the day, though I did start another structure build I should post on. Plus some details for the city scene are sitting on the desktop.

Good morning! We are making progress it only got down to 0 less night. or -0 if you want to go by the weather on my phone. I'm getting some serous modeling time in so the weather is not bothering me a bit. I attended a local OPS session last night - we ran trains and solved all the world's problems - if we were in charge. I hope everyone has a great day.
Afternoon All,
Started out the day with a walk at 41F and windy. It was very cold for this FL boy. After some chores I headed to the train room. I ran a Genesis F3ABA for a couple of hours while working on the tavern. I finished the tar paper roof and built the Mansard type decorative roof, but it still needs shingled.
I hope everyone has a good night.
Welcome Jim, glad you found us. Are you going to do a build thread on the RSM Carrick's Corner?
Tom
