Morning, all.
Later on today we'll drive to Des Moines to pick up my daughter, SIL and the grand kids. Trains will be running for a couple of days.
The sales person at the dealership was afraid to call me after I texted her that I thought "the numbers were the numbers". The sales manager called me. I read him the riot act. Anyway, I'm waiting a couple of weeks on the new car until some of the dealers have them and can figure out what to do.
There are only two flying B-29s left. Both were at Oshkosh this year. This is Fifi.

The sales manager is a big part of the racket that runs you around the dealership, with opportunities to pick your pockets to line theirs. The sales manager is the real decision-maker. But waiting makes good sense.
Work-in-progress on the cobblestone streets. The joints are much less noticeable. Next step is another sponge-paint application of the stone color, and then I should be done.

Good morning,
A number of the car manufacturers are removing the sales people, including managers, and only doing online sales. The " dealer" is only a pickup place and service. There is no talking about "price the price" is the price.
The old ways are gone. Except for the trade incentives.
Morning all.....
Afternoon all,
Isn't it amazing how the value of the vehicle you're trading can fluctuate based on the value of the vehicle you're buying? ::)
Spent some frustrating time at the workbench yesterday. I'm having issues with one little assembly. I tried several times but never got it together. I think I'll take the day off today. I feel like I'm on the verge of a sinus and/or ear infection. Taking over the counter stuff to try to ward that off. May need to contact the Dr. for an antibiotic if that fails.

Have a great one!
Afternoon all,
Been running around all day getting things together.
Hope all are having a great day.

Afternoon All,
I'm still here trying to get motivated to get a project moving before the NNGC in early Sept. The most significant thing I could do would be to get the mountain forms rising. Maybe I'll at least watch some Bragdon instructional DVD's that I purchased at the last NNGC (along with scenery materials I haven't yet unboxed)...I can't complain - I just got back from a 2-week European riverboat cruise and I'm heading to NY on Friday (to spend some time with my 93 year old Mom who's a bit out of it). No shortage of To-Do's but no shortage of things to be grateful for as well.
BTW, If you're longing for the "bad old days" of dealing with greasy car salesmen, go visit an RV dealership - the hucksterism is still alive and well.
