Good morning.
The weather is overcast with rain in the forecast in my corner of upstate NY. I've been making slow progress on a couple boxcars I'm working on. That's about all that is exciting here, unless six straight days of rain gets your blood flowing.
I hope everyone has a great day!
Morning Jerry and others,
Time to edge and cut the grass.
Have a great day ya'll.
Tom
Good Morning Folks;
I have been awol for a few days, it has been a busy summer. Today we are up in Ohio for a wedding and visiting family and friends. The weather up here has beeen amazing. Highs in the 70's nights in the 60's, and it is August! It has been fantastic. We head home to florida in a couple of days but the weather change sure has been a nice bonus.
Went to my favorite local hobby shop and stocked up on the odds and ends that are hard to find. Some unique paints, solutions and stuff.
Hope everyone is doing well.
Jim
Morning all.....
Good morning
Here is conundrum... I lost my glasses somewhere sometime two days ago, but I need my glasses to find them. Hmm!
$560 later, I get them in a few days, meanwhile my wife will not let me drive. So it is gardening for me.
Morning all.
I too have been AWOL. Worked over the weekend and spent Monday morning at the Neurosurgeon where we discussed I'll probably be having back surgery in a few weeks. Not exactly what i wanted to hear but was expected. Today I need to mow the lawn. I also will be calling a car place in Chicago about dealing on a new van.

Afternoon check in today... sunny out with no clouds...time to go to the bank and pick up the SS $$$...
Tommy
Checking in late...I had a few minutes to kill before a lunch meeting nearby, so I stopped into the local hobby place to see what was new. I picked up some plastic cement for use with my Micro Engineering steel trestle. I explained that I haven't assembled a plastic kit in decades and my last experience was Testor's gel in a tube and, just as often, as webs between my fingers. I also found a box of late model Model Railroader mags for a buck a piece. I cancelled my subscription, but I couldn't resist a handful at that price.
I plan on being home tomorrow and hope to begin track planning in earnest and maybe even a bit of sawing and hammering. I've reduced my layout to a level and sturdy open grid awaiting some direction.
17 days until the National Narrow Gauge Convention!!
John
Good luck with the new glasses, Marty.
Sorry to hear about the back, Jeff.
What's that kit, Tom? Plaster?
I'm eating a second piece of flan from today's lunch. Attendance was down, so we had leftover dessert. It's a tough job, but someone has to do it.
