Heat index made it up to 114 yesterday. Another scorcher today. I'm getting ready to head out to work.

Foggy start to the day yet again. Thankfully, much cooler weather than what Jeff is dealing with, today's forecast high is in the mid-80's.

Foggy here in SE NH, but seasonable (unlike the heat waves elsewhere.) A/C repairman might show up today, that would be A Good Thing.
Over at Railroad-Line, Mike Hohn (who sent me parts for the coaling dock) suggested I rotate the bins to face the trestle, and have the coal wagons pass underneath the railroad trestle bridge. I'm considering that idea!

Now the question is whether I make the coal wagons pass underneath the trestle bridge, or just use the space between the bins and the trestle bridge.

Afternoon check in today...late to the party...big storm knocked out power around 8 pm yesterday and finally restored today almost 16 hours after it went out. Caught up on sleep...wife,son and grandson headed out to the state fair this morning while I stayed behind to watch the fort.

Noobie to this forum, but oldie in real life! Thanks to the admin for approving my account! No model railroad at the moment, they come & go as life dictates. Currently I'm enjoying building laser cut wood kits, with a few custom touches along the way. Hardly to the level of 'bashing, at least so far.
I'm learning so much browsing everything here, especially the kit build threads - thank you all!. I hope to share a build thread of my own in the not to distant future.

To that end, when we were driving out of Toledo the wife was able to grab a quick photo of the Anderson Grain Silos. Not the best photo but what a great way to spruce up what are normally ugly concrete cylinders.
