Morning all.

I slept an hour and a half late and I'm still the first one here?  Everyone must be out a Labor Day festivities.

Maybe some layout work later.  Spray painted the track.  Time to work on the road.

Picture of a commemoration parachute drop.   It's the 79th anniversary of the end of WW2.   Never forget.

It's coming up on the 80th anniversary of Market-Garden, second half of September.   As a cadet, I had a couple weeks as a "3rd LT" with a unit in 82 Abn.  We went to see "A Bridge Too Far" as a 'training event' after spending a week in the field.

More work on my trestle bridge today.  Once I get the joists set, building bents is the easy part.  I still need to work through the king post truss in the middle, though.

Happy Labor Day to all. Here's a view of the lift bridge at the mouth of the Cuyahoga River in Cleveland from river level

Good morning.

I'm a little late to the party this morning.  Sunny outside, not sure how much inside (modeling) time I'll find today with the wonderful weather.

I hope everyone has a great Labor Day!

My wife's stepfather was a Murphy from St.Cloud, FL. His brother K.O. was in the fighting at Arnhem. K.O. later served as Sheriff of Osceola County.

Morning all,

Got my walk in early this morning.  Had breakfast.  Did my daily perusing of the paper, etc.  I think the rest of the day is mine.  Should get some much-needed work bench time in later on.  I've been slacking in that area due to some 1:1 projects around the house.

Have a great one!

Morning all,

My puppy Otis's whining woke me up around 3:20am so I got up and let him out.  And then I couldn't get back to sleep so I have been putzing around all morning.

Nothing major planned for Labor Day.  I might get enough motivation to install an outlet in the family room floor. One advantage of having an 'open' basement ceiling.
