Morning all,
Yesterday The Judge and I ran trains and Reading Bob dropped by for a visit. Bob brought down the trailer with the meth lab. His work is very impressive. It was a great little diorama with the lawn chairs, pelicans and other stuff.
Our guest arrived yesterday and it was late by the time we all got to bed. I'll nap a little later this afternoon.
Have a great day everyone.
Tom
Good morning.
I just brewed a fresh pot of coffee, help yourselves. Yet another foggy morning here in upstate NY. I did take the tractor and brush hog out back into the former pasture and mowed a small part of it yesterday afternoon. I kicked out three does that thought it was a good spot to lie up for the afternoon. Not so much...
In the morning I made a good start on scratch building a 2600 series NYO&W boxcar. There is very little information on this series of O&W boxcars. I'm working from a couple photos and the information gleaned from a 1915 Official Railway Equipment Register.
I hope everyone has a safe and rewarding day!
Cool start (36) but should get up to 72. Sunny, bright, and leaves here are near their peak. The oaks this year look particularly good, the last years they've gone from green to brown. Of course, the leaves will stay on the trees until January...
More work on the truss and trestle project, goal is to get the stringers installed on the truss, which should tie the whole structure together. But I ran out of the stringer stripwood, so I'll have to rip some thicker stock down to size.

Morning, well 51 years ago today I tied the knot with Sandy !!! Three kids and many memories...A look back at our time together...Tommy
Tom & Sandy,
Congratulations! Great photos and I'm sure many great memories!
Morning all,
Happy Anniversary to Tommy and Sandy!
As Tom mentioned, I dropped in while he and the Judge were running trains. Had a nice visit, as usual.
Workbench time this afternoon while ignoring the football game on TV. ;)
Have a great one!
Afternoon all.....
Ola,
I rearranged the basement 'garage' space today. I swapped the 4x8 assembly table and the 6x8 lumber rack so that the lumber rack lines up with the garage door. This should make it easier to load 4x8 sheets of plywood into the rack. And let me tell you, 4x8 sheets of 3/4" plywood are not light nor are they fun to wrangle. :o
Still waiting for dust collector flex hose pieces/parts to get it configured so it will handle the miter saw, table saw, and track saw.
Doug
Afternoon, all.
I'm at work, busy morning, but it's petered out. Hopefully no rush at the end here (we're open 8 to 3 on weekends).
Happy Anniversary to Tommy and Sandy!
I like how your shop is getting set up, Doug. I really can't carry the 4x8 sheets any more, I have Lowe's rip them in half lengthwise. I also need to get them up a half flight of steps and down one and half, really tough even when I was younger.
Patriots have already lost today. Still in line for the #1 draft pick. Hawkeyes stunk up the place yesterday.

Bridge is done (well, a few minor details to add, some NBWs and the bridge guard rails)...
