Post by: ACL1504 on October 31, 2024, 07:38:59 AM
Morning all,

The grill is open so fix what you want. Drinks on the end table.

We have a few more errands to run and the I'll get into something model related.

What are your plans for the day?

Have a great day whatever you do.

Tom

Good morning

Costco run, gas and then hide in the basement to avoid contact with anyone who wants few sugar when I can't have it myself.

We had Trick or Treat last night, almost twice as many as last year.  I still have leftover candy, that I need to get rid of ASAP.

In a bit, I'll go down and think about how to paint the interior of that hopper.  I want it to look somewhat weathered/used, so I'll want a "wood showing through" look on the interior.

I spent some time this morning doing an edit of the latest edition of John Siekirk's Gazette.

Good morning.

I almost forgot to check in this morning.  Like Dave, i was doing some proof reading of the Gazette for John. I was also adding the center sill, brake cylinder along with the levers and linkage for the KC brake system to a caboose.  I just finished adding the air line to the brake cylinder and thought it would be a good idea to do something else while I waited to be sure the ACC was completely set and holding everything in place.

Tom, I spent a weekend in Minneapolis when it was so cold I could see my breath inside the truck with the heater running. I had enough of that after Friday night in the bunk and got a motel room for Saturday and Sunday nights.  I delivered in a snowstorm Monday morning with wrecks everywhere, reloaded in Wisconsin and headed south.  I have to say that leaving did not break my heart.  NY gets snow, but normally nothing like that, not to mention the bitter cold.

I hope everyone has a great day!

Getting old(er) is hell.
Became particularly acute when our daughter joined my wife in ramping up the campaign to move to assisted living. Son-in-law, wise as he is, is attempting to stay out of this discussion.
