Morning all,

Good to hear Dr. Jeff is doing well after surgery. Hopefully the other Drs. can get the sodium under control or at least figure what is causing it.

We had a great SBG yesterday and covered all the BS'ing topics.

I have a short on level two and don't know why it is shorting. It worked fine Friday and Saturday morning it shorted. I'll figure ti out later this afternoon. Not in the mood now.

The forum challenge sounds interesting. Not sure I'll have the time to do it. I have hernia surgery in December and will be out for 4 to 6 weeks.

Have a great day everyone.

Mornin' all,

I got a lot done with the landscaping in front of the house yesterday, but I still have a ways to go today. Those 60lb bags of 'garden soil' get heavy after a while. :)  I included lime in the 'mix' of garden soil and manure/compost.

This morning I bought a bulb planter and I hope to get 90-100 bulbs planted today.

Hoping the Bills/Chiefs game will be on TV this afternoon.  And the Gators beat LSU yesterday. That was a pleasant surprise. But I still don't think Napier is "the guy".

Hope y'all have a great day.

Doug

Good Morning Folks;

Jeff, glad to hear all went well. Doug, still love that view. Dave asked a question about the Winter Challenge asking if you could enter something you make on your layout, the answer is yes, you just need to outline the area (up to 12 x 24)to be judged. Tape can do that fine. Tom sorry about the hernia surgery hope you can still show off your talents. I really hope we get a lot of people interest in the Forum but we will see, time does move on. I will be showing a build but not in the contest itself, I am making it as a part of the NMRA Structures AP.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Jim

Morning all.

Feeling ok this morning, but my BP and pulse shot up overnight.  I didn't take any BP meds for the 4 days I was in, so I've restarted them.  f

Like Tom, I'm not sure I'll feel well enough to enter the challenge, but we'll see.

Football later today and general laziness.

Jeff

Doug,

I agree here. The past three years under Napier have been loosing seasons. First time since 1947 the Gators have had three loosing seasons in a row.

Bills/Chiefs is the only CBS game on in the late slot.

Good morning.

Pretty quiet here this morning.  Not sure what I'll get up to today outside of watching some football.

I hope everyone has a great day!

Good Morning Modeling friends,
Been a while for me to be here in the forum again.  I was told by Jim Donovan that it has been back in action for some months now with a new makeover and after perusing around, I have to say I am impressed!  It has that good old day feel again that I missed.  It's no longer clunky and someone put some solid work into it.  I'm guessing knowing all you guys (and gals) that it was a collaborative effort as well.

This forum is where both Brett (my son) and I cut our teeth in the social brotherhood of fine scale modeling and met many of our very first friends in the hobby long prior to when we began our weekly podcast.  It is where ideas were born for our layout, for our willingness to constantly challenge ourselves at becoming better modelers and trying new techniques suggested by many of you to do so.  Since then we have branched outward into other modeling as well, like military armor and aircraft, ships, dioramas, fantasy figure and gaming figure modeling.  But our true love is and always will be fine scale structure modeling and without all of your encouragement and support, we would both probably had given up and still be the knuckle-dragging hockey playing doofuses we once were...lol

Anyhow, I plan to get back into the forum here and having some fun with old and new friends, and we will be sure to promote the forum as well as the upcoming Winter Challenge on the podcast during this weeks recording!  Sounds like a blast and I think I might just get crackin on a build for it!

have a great Sunday, and model on!

Afternoon,

The flu/cold has slowed me down for the past few weeks. Or was it just the time change screwing around with my head. The vital statistics are bouncing around and is adding to it.

Our house is poorly insulated so when the temperature hovers around freezing our bone joints complain, then the mould in the air throws the ears out of wack.

You guys getting/had surgery my heart goes out to you as that is real pain.

Be well!

Afternoon all,

Hope everyone that's ailing starts to feel better soon.

Pretty much have the new TV set up.  Just got back from a second trip to Best Buy. This one was planned.  We bought new phones (3 of them).  Now to deal with the joy of transferring stuff over to the new phones.

I'm thinking about what I might tackle for the challenge.  FSM Stuffy's Brewery or FSM Emporium Seafood are currently at the top of the list, but I need to poke around the stash to see what else jumps out at me.

Have a great one!
