Title: December 24, 2024 Christmas Eve
Post by: Jim Donovan on December 24, 2024, 07:52:27 AM
Good Morning Everyone;

Well it is already Christmas Eve, where did the year go? The clubhouse is open, coffee on so let the the day start. I'm making some progress on the flour mill and some more time put in on the bridge idea I have. I hope to do a little more on it today in addition to helping fix the house up for Christmas. Our daughter and husband are joining us tomorrow morning so should be a great day. Have a great day everyone.

Light snow in SE NH, significantly warmer than yesterday.  I might get down to the train room today, but first I have to figure out what to make for dinner tonight, in case I have to go to the store.

Good morning.  Jim, thanks for the coffee.

Three inches of snow fell overnight, so I'm sure you can guess where I'll be once I post this on the forum.  Thankfully, it is above 20 degrees F this morning, a big change from the negative number temperature yesterday morning.  That means the tractor should start easily, and i should be relatively warm while pushing snow.

I ordered some alphabet decals from K4 Decals yesterday, when the correct decals are unavailable, go to individual letters to finish up the car.  I found a better photo than the one I used when building the car, so a couple other minor changes to the car itself are underway.

I hope everyone has a safe, warm, and enjoyable Christmas Eve.

Morning all and all others drifting in,

As Jim stated, " Where has the year gone"?

Nothing on my agenda other than a few hours at the work bench. I finished cutting three of the four walls on the Flat Iron Building. Updates after Christmas.

Have a great day ya'll.

Good morning,

Making progress on the center platform.  Next step is to install 1/2" sanded plywood on the interior 'walls'.  The center platform floor is 15'10" by 12'6" and about half of the helix will intrude into that space.

Hope y'all have a great day!

Morning all.

Doug, that could be the world's largest modeling workbench.   ;D

Yesterday was grocery shopping day and a trip to Costco which was a zoo.  Cleaning the house today and tomorrow in preparation of the children/grandchildren arriving over the next few days.

One more day of being good before Santa comes.

Morning all,

We're having the neighbors over tonight for a little X-Mas eve get together.  Other than that, a quiet day is planned.  I just need to stay out of the boss's way and do as I'm told.  ;)

Have a great one!

Doug,

It is really looking very good. And, by the way, thanks for turning me on to the carpet tiles. I have them down in most of the layout room and will finish them in late January.

Afternoon,

I just finished shoveling 4" of very heavy wet snow.

Xmas dinner tonight, I can't wait.
