Morning all.
Its been 4 years since I finished my Light Street Pier model. It always makes me feel warmer on these cold January days.
So I thought I would offer some Eastern Shore Peaches for your breakfast this morning, fresh off the Tolchester Ferry. They'll be great on your yogurt!
Stay warm!

Morning all.....beautiful scene Matt, but too cold here in FL, I need a hot breakfast. Brrrrrrrrrr!
Morning all,
Great looking diorama Matt, extremely well done.
I'll be in the train shed today working on the challenge build and cleaning up the place for the SBG tomorrow.
Have a safe and warm day everyone.
Tom
Good Morning All,
Thanks for opening and breakfast Matt. I do love peaches. The diorama is stunning.
Started out with a walk at a feel like temp of 35F but with no wind so it was bearable bundled up.
Not much planned for the day other than chores and getting the bench area ready for the SW kit diorama that I will be doing.
I hope everyone has a good day.
Good morning.
Matt, beautiful modeling!
Teens here once again, wind chills in the single digits. Today should be better than yesterday as the wind gusts yesterday were clocked at 39MPH. That led to crazy negative wind chill temps. Today we're forecast for gusts of no more than 10MPH. Yeehah, that's almost like summer weather... Break out the shorts...
I hope everyone has a safe, warm and productive day!
Good morning everyone.
Nice modeling Matt.
Maybe it's because I'm still on probation, but is there I "What's New" or "New Posts" button?
Have a great day everyone.
OK, I now see the "Unread Posts" and "Updated Topics" links.
Good morning everyone,
Thanks for the breakfast Matt and that is one sweet looking diorama. Not very often you see a curved wharf, very nice modeling.
Weather this morning is -10c (14f) here in Southeastern Ontario, another day to stay inside. Have a little work to do this morning and then the plan is to hopefully finish the last module for the staging yard.
Fave a great day everyone.
Good Friday Morning!
The snow has started. Forecasts range from 2" to 10" today/tonight. Average snowfall for the year around here is 5".
I'm hoping to get some work done on the layout today and this weekend.
Doug
Morning,
It looks like the "full moon" effect is coming to an end and it is getting warmer. It will only be -5c today.
I will continue sorting and captioning me 1985 trip to Mongolia. It is challenging to remember what I did and where.
Morning all,
Suddenly I'm hungry for a slice of peach upside down cake. I wonder why?
Not much on the agenda today. Workbench time and a quick trip to the grocery store.

Have a great one!
Good morning Gents, More of the white stuff here. Calling for another 4 to 6!
One huge model and nice modeling Matt!
Have a great Friday!
Morning all.
Cool wharf, Matt. Another cold day here, we might get to the freezing mark. No plans for today but the FSM kit keeps staring at me to get back to working on it.
Jeff
Just in case anyone is interested, this is where I will be on Jan 18.

I just read where the Rail Road Line Forum has been funded to run through the end of this year . Also some constructive changes are in the works. Good news for some old RRLF members.
While I am glad the Modelers Forum exists, I find it hard to use. I have spent over 3 hours just trying to attach my avatar. I finally just gave up.
Take care....John

Ah yes. One more year. Then what?
As far as your avatar is concerned you can do that in your profile. In the top left corner is your name. Click on the pull-down menu and then on click on "Profile Details". A drop down menu will give you options for loading an avatar. In that menu you will see five choices. Pick one and follow the instructions. Need further help just ask.
Oh, Morning all.
Bernd
Good Morning from a still cold NY; although it may get above the 32 degree freezing mark this weekend.
Matt thanks for the peaches and that is an extraordinary diorama; well done.
Not much going on here except maybe some time at the bench.
Have a safe day. Keep warm and be well.
Good morning Crew from an unexpected but suddenly white covered So. Central Wisconsin.
We have maybe 1/2" of the white stuff from a 5am start. I saw a 10% chance on my weather app yesterday but it's 100% on the ground now.
My sister lives in Pasadena and her daughter and my niece lives in Altadena. Both are fine but the theater/playhouse/comedy club the niece manages in LA is closed because of the fires. My brother asked me to convince our sister to come out to Maui as the air is fresh. She doesn't want to leave Pasadena right now.
I have a cousin who posted on FB (forwarded from my brother) that he is struck in LA. He transports vehicles across North America either for restoration or return after restoration. Dropped off cars in Malibu and the Pacific Palisades last week and stayed waiting for cars to take back to Chicagoland. The AirBnB he was staying in caught fire as did his truck, trailer and the first cars within it. He was waiting for more cars. He handles the transporting of vehicles and 2 of his brothers handle the restorations side of the business. Never knew any of that as I am not close to any of my dad's side of the family. Such tragedy out in California but I'm done with complaining celebrities who should have cleaned out around their homes the fire enhancers like mulch. So many other less fortunate are in much dire straights including insurance companies cancelling fire coverage or complete cancellations.
Be well
TomO
Pictured below are previously posted to HO shelf layouts on Facebook, front end Friday pictures
20s and snow falling in light, steady, fashion. Drizzle if it was rain, I'd guess.
Interesting news re: RR-L. Btw, there aren't anything but OLD members there. ::) I'll keep my dual citizenship. Took me forever to get used to that system, probably will here. No gripes from me. I think some feel if it's not exactly the same it's something to bitch about... :-\
RE: Cali... so sad but...then it's quick to get political even if you're not trying.
It's not nice to buck Mother Nature and the way the world's ecosystem works.
Back to the trains today...the bench and track cleaning on the layout are waiting.

John welcome to the Forum and sorry you ran into issues in navigating through the site. We intentionally tried to keep it using the KISS principle but working with new systems can be frustrating. Hope you stay and get to know us better. Bernd did a great job describing the avatar issue but if you run into other bottlenecks just reach out to me here at the Forum or e mail me directly at cirrusmisty@gmail.com and I will see what I can do to help.ThanksJim
Aternoon everyone;
I missed breakfast but have another pot of coffee on if anyone needs a cup. It was good news to hear about possible life extension of the RR-Line, hopefully it will get another sponsor and keep going. The knowledge these forums provide just can't be duplicated in other media systems like Facebook.
Matt that is a very impressive diorama. Please make another and enter it in the Winter Challenge contest. You obviously have mad skills you can share.
It is obvious the people in CA really need the nations help. I know Florida has already reached out and asked how can we help. I am sure the rest of the states are doing so as well. It is times like these that we show the world what we as a country are made of. Being an American comes with a lot of responsibility, it is times like this when we have to shoulder it. We may argue among ourselves but if part of our country is in trouble we all are and respond to help. Prayers for the people having to directly deal with this disaster. As for the rest of us, time to help.
Jim

This is wonderful, and inspirational.
