Almost 400 in Michigan this morning with dense fog, can't see the house across the street :o
Pullup a tray and help yourself, the Doll made us waffles this morning with maple syrup from our neighbors and some sweet goo from the Log Cabin. Coffee is lighthouse keepers Fog Horn blend. All the usual hot and cold alternatives are available as well. Cheerios, too. ;)
I worked on my layout yesterday and have plans for that again today, if I can find the stairway.
Watched some of last nights NASCAR Clash last evening after recording it a bit earlier. It was an interesting venue Bowman Gray Stadium a 1/4 mile paved track build around a college football stadium in Winston-Salem. A venerated Southern short track. Interesting but with few moments of real racing, IMHO. Daytona in two weeks, a much better harbinger of Spring than some barn rat from PA.
Enjoy the day all.

Good Morning !
Morning all,
Thanks for the waffles, Karl. I haven't had a good waffle in ages.
Foggy here as well. But warm enough at 71 degrees. I got my morning walk and I'm about ready to hit the workbench.
Have a great one!
Good morning everyone.
Sunny and low 80's here in Anza-Borrego State Park.
Karl, thanks for the second cup and hope you make good progress on the layout.
Philip, good morning.
Another hike planned for today.
A very short video of the view from a hike I did Saturday.

Have a great day everyone.
Dull and gray morning with nothing to live for ... except date turnovers!
Mornin,' All!
32, feels like 26 and the WGFA are forecasted to continue to arrive in quantity until later this afternoon. Good day to stay inside, work at the bench, nap and look out the window at the winter wonderland on the other side....
Make it a great day, All, and stay safe!

We got about 2-3" last night. Not enough to block the driveway, but we'll ask our plow guy to stop by at some point before tomorrow night's hard freeze and scrape stuff off the driveway.
I'm taking a break from the Lamson project and tackling an old Ambroid/NESL passenger car. I got a couple kits/parts of kits on eBay. The big challenge for these kits is the roof, I wish someone would volunteer to design and print a 3D replacement! I ordered some roof shaping kits from LaBelle. Does anyone here have tips/techniques for wood passenger car kits?

Late morning all,
Working in the train shed today.
Rick, nice video on the slot passage.
Still overcast here but the fog finally lifted.
Hope all are having a great day.

Good Morning,
Started out here at 64F and heavy fog. After chores I headed to the train room and colored 35 pieces of strip wood. Not fun and very tedious.
Not much else planned for today.
I hope everyone has a good day
Dave...not sure if Bob Parrish hangs out here but if not he's on the Siekirk morning email group...he's the guy to talk to about wood car kits

Good afternoon, all. This morning the lower Merrimack valley has gone from 20F to 36F with a lot of sun. I've been outside pushing back snow banks with the tractor, clearing my PV array and letting the sun get where it will help snow and ice melt. After lunch an errand, then maybe some modeling time.
Dave, I built one Northeastern coach that went well, but I had a tube of Ambroid cement. Not clear you can get any cellulose acetate based glues anymore. I have another coach in progress. If/when I get back to it I will probably sand some height off the roof before I put the trim on.

Bob and I had a nice chat, we've talked a couple of times before since we share the interest in 19th century railroading. Of course, I got lots of good suggestions from him.

It's Tuesday but since I got this on Monday, I'll post it here as I think timing is everything for this.
Did anyone else react to this email the way I did? I was just reading about the economic $torm clouds that are building everywhere, and this company with "USA" made products chooses this week to announce this?

Let's not turn the Kadee price increases into a political discussion.

Noted. New here.
Good morning all,
28 and the white stuff is coming down; typical New York.
Worked at the bench already for a bit and Ellie has a Chiropractor's apt. laters today.
Have a good one.
Good Tuesday afternoon, all. I did a little plumbing with my ex-B-in-L this morning, then put 6 gallons of distilled water into half my PV battery bank. Wife will bring me another 6 on her way home from the chiro. Meanwhile, the cold NW wind that arrived around lunch time hasn't made it sooo cold I can't airbrush. I'll look around the forum, then pop up to the attic for a bit.
Good Afternoon, All!
21, feels like 9 and "light snow" on a very grey day here in the northern mitten. Just back from a massage that appears to have been highly beneficial, but we'll have to see for how long. Good to see folks agreeing that it's Tuesday!
Need to get back to making footstools for the counter at HoJo's.... It's September 1954 in my world, so...necessary but not a whole lot of actual fun. Could use some of the fried clams, though!
Make it a great day, All, and stay safe!
