Title: Saturday Feb. 15 2025
Post by: Raymo on February 15, 2025, 09:13:52 AM
Morning All! 9 AM and here I am opening. Everyone must have chocolate hangovers. Another storm is about to hit the northeast tonight like last weekend, although this one is supposed to end in rain. Where the rain/snow line is going to end up I don't know. I'm just going to try and get some stuff finished today while its quiet.

;D Raymo, thanks for the opening, sounds like similar weather to that here in MI.  2-3" of new snow this morning and a WATCH/WARNING of more stuff later and the same possibility of some ice.

I'll probably get the Deere out and clear off the drive and walk, later, then few if any plans.   :o

Everyone have a fine day.

The end of this storm in NH is a matter of debate among weather-persons.  It does seem more likely the storm will end in sleet and rain (ugh!)  But the temperature during the day tomorrow will be critical, and there my various weather sources disagree by several degrees on either side of freezing.  Following the storm, the winds pick up, and that has the utility companies worried.

But right now it's sunny and 22.  Neighborhood Scotch Club will meet today at our alternate location, the usual host got the flu.

More work on the Ambroid coach project.  I need to go back and study the exploded drawing (minimal instructions with this kit) because I might have made a mistake with the fascia.  And I'll probably redo the oval window, I don't like how that came out.

Morning all,

All that talk of snow is making me cold and it is 73 here this morning.

That's all I have to add this morning.

Have a great day ya'll.

Good morning, all. My weather is a little warmer than Dave's.  Tomorrow it looks like I'll have daylight to clear the snow before it gets slushed and freezes, better than moving slush in the rain.

Spent a little while this morning with a 9/1939 B&M Employee's Timetable, found out several branches left over from the railroad wars survived into WWII.  My next ETT is 1947, those from WWII are scarce to nonexistent.  I did some track work yesterday, then more recreating my layout thread after dinner out.  But now I have to tend the chickens and barn cat.

Good morning everyone.

Barstow weather: MUCH less wind and a high of 60.

Doing some off-roading today.
Hope to see some promised volcano cinder cones and abandoned mines.

Have a great day everyone.

I wish I HAD. Hangover.
My project is under the kitchen sink this morning, replacing a leaking the sprayer

It wasn't fun at 63 putting it in. It's less fun 73 trying to replace it.

If I don't, the port city on the North Coast Railroad may have real water in the bay.

Morning all.

Trip to get gas in the van (I have $2/gallon off  which needs to be used today) and to look at possible new "portable"  treadmill or elliptical.  Neurosurgeon says I shouldn't probably ever lift more than 40 pounds.  The one we have is a 70 pound lift to be able to get it on the wheels to move it.

Good Evening,

Well it's snowing here yet again @ 28 in New York. Supposedly a mix bag of snow/freezing rain Sunday...oh joy!
Spent some time at the bench this am and Daughter dropped by for dinner awhile ago. Not much else going on here.

Hello all

I've been off the grid for a while and I see that I have lots of catching up to do. There are a lot of new threads to look at, which is great, and I have my own build thread to catch up on as well.
