I am currently building thr Foss Landing kit from Sierra West. I will also be building The Shipyard at Foss Landing and I will be combining both kits together make a nice waterfront scene on my layout. My plan is to buikd the main structures from both kits first. I will document those here. Once the main structures are done I will decide on an arrangement and finish the scene. When I get to that point I will post that work under dioramas.
So I have built the 1st building for the doss landing kit, The Clam and Oyster Co. already and I am approching having the second building complete, the Foss Launch Co. Both structures have gone together nicely.

Thanks Philip
I managed to finish the roof and get the freight doors installed this morning. I didnt have time for a picture but I will get one posted later today. That wraps up this structure for now. It goes on the shelf with the Clam and Oyster company while waiting on the permanent spot on the layout.
Next up will be the rowboat shed.
Dale,
Welcome to the forum and great looking build.

Thank you Eric. It's cool you have done built this kit in the past. Would you be willing to post a couple of pics?
I have actually had this kit since it came out in 2003 (if memory serves me right) and I am just getting around to building it. One thing I have learned about old kits, if they have dry tranafers they don't work so well. Fortunately for me I was looking for a weathered look so it worked out. If I had been going for a newer look, the old dry transfers would not have worked.
I see the pictures now. Very nicely done.

I think this shipyard will be a fun build
Very nice.
Nice variation on the wood colors and the weathering on the roof is good too.
I'm just getting caught up, Dale. Those are nicely weathered buildings.

Great build and weathering. The ladder gives bracing for a sturdier shed.
Very nicely done Dale. Great color and weathering.

Dale,
Those are fine-looking models. You're a master with stain and paint.

You are correct about the ladder, the shed was pretty flimsy until I put the ladder on.

Thanks, Dale, but I have a Cricut cutter and plenty of vinyl to cut. It's a handy tool.
