Title: Wednesday 19th Lounge
Post by: jbvb on March 19, 2025, 10:37:18 AM
No lights on and I have a little time, so I'll open today.  Bagels & lox, cream cheese and butter on the counter, a basket of the last local Cortland applies next to a bunch of bananas, urn switched on and loaded with Rail Bond blend. A carton of mixed of white & brown eggs from my flock next to the griddle (wash them before breaking, I put it off so I don't have to refrigerate them).

Sunny and warming up on the NH seacoast.  My BLI B&M T-1a 2-8-4 just arrived, the first locomotive I've bought in years.  Once I'm done with computers, I'll take it upstairs.

Morning all.

Slept very late after a not really busy day yesterday.  It's spring break here and I'm sure many people have gone out of town.

Supposed to be windy and rainy here all day.  It looks like we're only on the edge of the severe stuff, hopefully it misses us.

Will take the wife to PT at noon today as well.  Have a great day, folks.

Jeff

Mornin,' James and All!

41 and feels like 34 under the grey blanket here in the northern mitten.  Gale Warnings are up for later on today and tonight, and we expect WGFA arriving, preceded by rain and possible ice.  Driving home from tonight's Op Session may be a cultural experience.  Gonna have to evaluate later on....

Not much on today's agenda, so celebrate the last day of Winter and hope Spring brings with it better weather, more birds and nice leaves on the trees.

Make it a great day, All, and stay safe!

James, looking forward to a picture of the new acquisition.

We have another group lunch today, and then I have to go back to the bank (their computers were down when I went to deposit  a check in CDN Dollars...)  So no training for me today...

Morning all,

I had breakfast with a friend earlier today.  Now I'll post a quick update on my build thread.  This afternoon I'll get back to work on my contest build.  I won't be done by the deadline but that's okay.  I'll keep posting progress pictures anyway.  :)

Have a great one!

Good afternoon.  I've been to Costco this morning.  It was busier than I expected for midweek shopping.

I'm adding figures and details to a brewery that I built.  A couple minor setbacks, I was adding a forklift and found the wheels were turning, so I had to add a drop of ca to the wheels so it will be easier to glue to the loading dock.

8) CAVU and 530 in the palm of the mitten.  BUT that mess Pete mentioned is coming later in the day, along with a moderate threat of SEVERE late afternoon or evening, snow tomorrow. ??? Sure can feel the changes in my skeletal remains... ::)

Going to take a trip over to the West side of the state to the Railroad Estate Sale store.  More turnouts and a peek :o  at what ever.

Enjoy, everyone, safe, healthy and warm enough

A very late check in for me, will try to do better tomorrow. I've been catching up on the winter challenge builds, amazing work. Since I can't get the judges to look everything over till first of next month I figured we could extend the official 'contest' to the end of the month. Most everyone is wrapping up or done so should help the last couple to get to the finish line. I love this 'contest' in that I really get to see how things can be made and the precision that can be achieved. Like I said, amazing work.
