Title: Sunday, April 6, 2025
Post by: Zephyrus52246 on April 06, 2025, 08:39:46 AM
Morning all.

I'm having a breakfast of yogurt and Diet Dew.  For the rest of you there's French toast with maple syrup, fruit and assorted drinks.

Just above freezing here, headed to 56 for a high.  I will probably mow later today as there are spots in the back yard that are getting pretty tall.

Went to a Train show in Davenport yesterday with low expectations.  It was actually pretty good.  Won two pieces of rolling stock as door prizes, five Jordans for $10 apiece and this little gem for $150.  BLI's sound isn't the greatest, but it runs nicely.

It's definitely New England April, light rain and temps around 40 as I write this.  Wife is making waffles, so the house smells good.  A friend is coming to visit today, so when breakfast is done mostly I'll be cleaning up the train room...

Morning all,

It'll be 91 and sunny down here today.  8)  Sounds like a good reason to stay indoors and work on a model or two.  ;)

Nice loco Dr. Jeff!

Have a great one!

Afternoon all,

Pardon the pun, but I've been working on the railroad.

Jeff, great GN consolidation, looks right at home.

Hope are having a great and model filled day.

Good afternoon, All!

48, feels like 46 here in the northern mitten, with beautiful blue skies and a definite sense of Spring in the air!  Yay!  But Karl is right... "back to 30s and snow tomorrow...."  Bleah!

Did some Railroad Admin today, but the sun calls, and I'm not ready to dive deep just yet....

Make it a great day, All, and stay safe

There must be a corollary to Murphy's Law to the effect "you finish the infrastructure for a project after you've done most of the work on that project."  Today I added most of the ductwork for the sawdust collection system in the unfinished shop side of the basement.  I still need to add the anti-static grounding wire and one more duct support (glue is drying for that, I need to let it cure for 24 hours before attaching the support bracket.)

The impetus for this was that I'll need to use a sanding drum in my full-size drill press to shape the wood piece that fits over top of the hidden tracks and underneath the line of forest canopy.  That'll generate a lot of fine sawdust, most of which I hope ends up in the dust collection bag.

Good evening, all who still have a tab open on the Forum.  I spent the day at Seashore Trolley Museum's Rust Off. This is an annual effort to get our operations personnel up to date on our railroad, rules, equipment etc. I was home in time for dinner but only just got around to looking in here.

Tomorrow is cold precipitation of various kinds but a late morning appointment will have me in the car rather than model railroading.
