Very nice Philip.

Howdy Philip, the derrick car is beautiful—I mean, ugly—looking like it was ridden hard and put up wet! Excellent work again. Are there any 3D-printed parts on it? Have fun, mike
Great looking car Philip. The weathering looks perfect to me.
Now you need a work/idler flat to go with this!

Philip great job the car and I agree with the others the coloring is spot on.
Thanks for looking folks!
Mike: The brake wheel are 3d and pawl are cast resin.
Dave: Your right. I have a short flat that looks the same.
My friend Tom bought 3 of these for 60$ an Train world. Gifted me one!
Philip, that's a nice gift and you weathered it well.
Thank you Rick.
I'm such a novice at weathering and trying to figure it out on machinery, hot surfaces, cold surfaces, grease and areas such as handles should look polished, gauges, Coal doors.... the list goes on and on!
Say it! Photo taken and property of: Chuck Doan

Philip,
Wow, what a great looking derrick car. The addition of an idler flat will match up perfectly. Very well done.
The Doan photo is a perfect one for weathering. I've added it to my weathering file.
