Good Morning;
I will open the clubhouse this morning. Memorial Day, the flags line the streets, services being held and honors rendered. It is a great day to live in Central Florida. I hope is is for you as well, wherever that may be.
We will have family over to swim later but for now, sitting on the porch, drinking coffee and enjoying the day is enough. Have a great day.
Jim
Morning Jim and all that follow.
Weather here in South Jersey is sunny/60. Later on 70.
We are headed to the beach to see friends who are down for the week.
Everyone have a wonderful day!! :)
Jerry
Sunny, 58 heading to 68 in SE NH. No clouds in the sky, and that's quite a change from the weather we've been having for most of this spring. The good news is that we've gotten enough rain that we're officially no longer in drought.
More work on Winchendon today. I didn't get as far yesterday as I hoped, I still have one wall's worth of 'panels' for the office, and then applying CA to lock in all the otherwise fragile studs before I paint the interior walls.

Morning all.
Headed to 73 here. Will take a walk later though my legs are still a bit sore. I have twelve more days off until work and need to get into better shape to handle the twelve hour days. Will continue work on the FSM kit and may need to mow as well.
Jeff
Good morning everyone.
It will be in the mid 60's later today here in the Oregon Badlands Wilderness.
Did a 9 mile hike yesterday and today will be a mostly rest day.
Have a great day everyone.
Mornin,' All!!
57, headed for 68 here in the northern mitten today, and the WWs are saying it's "fair." Sky here is severe clear, with nary a cloud in sight anywhere, and I think that's way better than "fair." May your Memorial Day be filled with the goodness left here by those who made the ultimate sacrifice on our behalf, and may we all have better days ahead.
Make it a Great Day, All, and stay safe!

Morning all,
Thank you veterans and those that gave it all.

Good afternoon, all. Weather as per Dave above. Meditating on veterans, my HS class was too young for Viet Nam, too old for the first Gulf War. Some older friends did serve in Viet Nam. A classmate lost his son to the Beirut bombing. Thanks to all.
I spent the morning on Seashore paperwork, the afternoon so far cutting deadwood in my orchard, with interludes introducing our 1 y.o. indoor cat to the middle-aged outdoor cat. There had been hissing and threats earlier this spring, but today they have been peaceful, though distant.

Well, First Gulf War would have been 'my war'. I was in the NH Army Guard at the time, and they took 2 units like ours. We were told, "We're not taking any more FA Brigades (but if we change our minds, you're #2 on the list.)" No one in our unit made any long-range plans that summer. I know people who did go, including classmates were still on active duty at the time, and my friend who retired last year with 3 stars. He was a brand new 2LT in 2 ACR, the unit that was involved in the famous "Battle of 73 Easting."

Happy Memorial Day and thanks to all who serve.....
Beautiful sunny 😎 day after a morning chill. Had a nice visit with the family geek squad, daughter and son in law and soon 16yr old they won't leave home.
After they left I ventured down in the woods in the back of my property. A few years ago a group of plants were discarded back there. They are thriving out there this spring.

Thank you veterans.

Karl, what's the saying, "Grow where you're planted" (or where you're discarded, in some cases...)
