Title: TGI-FRYday 6-6
Post by: KentuckySouthern on June 06, 2025, 08:03:59 AM
Grey with lingering smoke in MI.  Fire up the grill, eggs and sausage with some biscuits and grits from Grandma Sweeter's kitchen.  Ash Pit blend in the silver bullet, tea, hot or iced and an ice tray full of fresh OJ, Diet Pepsi, Diet Coke and Diet Doc P for those known so addicted :o Milk and cheerios for those dullards like me.

Few plans yet, but will be moving on something before the day is over.

Nice weather will be here in a couple days, the smoke sounds like a tariff free import from Canada frequently for the duration.

So, What's in YOUR Daybook?

Be Well,  KSinMI

Morning all,

Getting ready to head to the Ford dealer so they can do a software update to the car that apparently couldn't be done when it was there last week.  A trip to the grocery store later.  Unfortunately, it's my last day off post op, and I have to go back to work tomorrow.   :P

Good morning crew.

Low 80's here today in the canyon along the Snake River in Kuna, ID.

I have a video I need to finish and hope to get some pictures of raptors that are here.

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning from wet Tidewater Virginia.  The rain is forecast to stop later, so we'll be walking.

I made a couple #8 turnouts and took them to the club to see how they will fit as replacements to a couple of old Shinohara switches.  It looks like it won't be a big deal to make the change.  If (when) we need more we'll use a Fast Track jig.

Cooler than yesterday, so That's A Good Thing.  Cloudy and muggy, rain late afternoon through tomorrow.  This is another year where we get our rain mostly on the weekends.  Today I go to the urologist office to get the results from the ultrasound...

Good afternoon, all. Good luck with the appointment, Dave. There was a lot of Canadian wildfire smoke along the NH seacoast yesterday, but this front seems to have blown it away.  A line of thunderstorms came through before lunch, another is forecast late this afternoon.  Paperwork and email for a while, but we also got four more storm windows off. Five remain, none critical for ventilation.

My stepson's school year is over, but now he's planning college visits.  I've got a passenger car lighting project at the end of the "investigation" stage, next I actually strip wires and solder.

Dr appt was fine, the ultrasound confirmed the basically benign situation.  No lumps.

I ended up partially tearing apart the pipe threader.  The step pulley was just way too heavy and made the entire item off-balance.  I've found a smaller step pulley that I'll use instead.  But of course that sets me back a bit on that particular item.

From last night's rain, I've noticed some places where water puddles now has a green pollen rim.  Oak?  White pine?

In this part of New England, I've always associated pollen around puddles with White Pine.
