Title: Sunday No Hay (6/8) Lounge
Post by: jbvb on June 08, 2025, 10:50:55 AM
I was passing by and opened up but only a light breakfast: Coffee urn warming up with Track Wrench blend, water for tea and hot chocolate (still cool enough for that in NH), fruit, bagels & fixings, bread to toast or just butter, fresh milk and OJ.

The NH seacoast cooled off late last night after the thunderstorms passed; this morning has been cool with a lot of high haze - hope it's clouds rather than Canadian smoke. My wife and stepson went to his school's graduation and sometime this afternoon he'll bring back a guest. Until then I'll model railroad.  First order of business: locate 25 tiny rectifiers I finally need 12 years after I bought them. IIRC they arrived packed in a tube, but for 7 mm rectifiers the tube could be less than a foot long.

More wet weather forecast for Monday & Tuesday, but maybe a haying (or track work) window later in the week.

The rain yesterday washed out Scotch Club, but we might get a rain check event Thursday.

For breakfast/brunch, I took out some leftover frozen waffles and made Egg McWaffles, using American cheese.  That worked out quite well.

Back down to the train room in a bit, per some advice I got on MRH forum, I'll try to shorten the height of the pipe threader.  Then I'll probably paint it and see how it looks.  I'm also pondering a support arm for the cone pulley.  John Siekirk called me to task for that, and he's probably right.  I think I can do that with a piece of brass strap.

Good Morning from Toledo. We are up visiting the kids and grandkids. Our oldest granddaughter just graduated from high school and will be going to Bowling Green. Not much modeling this week but hope to visit local museums. Hope all have a great day.

Sun 8)  in MI today, finished a construction project and swept grass from the lawn.

Watched the majority of the NASCAR race from the Michigan track.  Some of it thru eyelids :-* ...

Now the Doll is bored.  ::)

No idea on dinner, ate too well last evening.  Ribs at Applebee's  ;D

Be well all.

Fine looking crew at Tom's!

Evening, All!

Lovely day for a ride across Massachusetts and New York, and I fear that James' weather observations are on the money.  Grey blanket on all the way across, and wet gifts beginning in Batavia.  Suspect that will go mostly south, but the eastbound trip on Wednesday felt like being in a Philippine typhoon or monsoon for a while.  All is well, though, and I am now really well certified as an Antique... my oldest grandson graduated from high school yesterday.  😲

Make it a great day, All, and stay safe!
