Morning all,
Here it's already a "feels like" 88 degrees. We're headed to 97 with a heat index over 100. I'm going to take a walk this morning before it's too stifling, and will mow later today. It's a rider, so the heat isn't a big issue. The FSM kit keeps staring at me on the bench, time to get back to it as well.

Welcome to Florida weather, Jeff. Others too, I'm sure. I try to stay indoors as much as possible this time of year.
I'm not sure what I'll get into today. Game night tonight. Would have been last weekend but we were out of town.

Today won't be too bad, warmer than yesterday but humidity is still OK. High of 82 predicted. The worst day will be Tuesday, predicting 97 with lots of humidity; we're not used to that in NH.
I should get down to the train room. I decided to pass on today's NMRA meet, although my dog that wasn't feeling well yesterday is fine today.

It's 70, headed for 92 and maybe safe to come out of the bunker here in the northern mitten today. We had a bodacious thunderstorm roll through an hour or so ago, apparently leaving hail and all sorts of stuff behind. No hail here, but they did get it in town, which is around six miles south of me. High winds, heavy rain and a fast mover that is now somewhere over Lake Huron, headed for Ontario. Good day to go "down cellah," as my New England roots would say.

Good Morning From Sunny (hot) Florida;
Well I survived our trip to Ohio visiting some of the kids and grandkids. Graduations, reunions and the typical family interactions. Being from out of town I got to hear all the 'issues'. Bouncing grandkids off my knee what seems like just yesterday was much more fulfilling than watching that same 'little' girl now 18 trying to wiggle a new car out of daddy. sigh! And time marches on. Overall the trip was good but sure is nice to be home.
I have been slack in my modeling efforts lately but if any the trip reminded me of what I do enjoy so back to the work bench I plan to go. I also need to catch up on what has been happening on the Forum, I hope a lot. Have a great day and enjoy that summer warmth!

820 going to 920 plus with hazy sun 8) and a good breeze moderating the misery.
Quite nice under the maples watching the Doll's youngest power wash the house. Kudos to her energy and enthusiasm to be helpful. Points to the Husquevarna (not in spell check) machine as well. Her husband is at his dad's trimming trees. They're keepers.
It seems that bench time will call later today.
Tomorrow we're expecting the Geek squad the other daughter's group. "They don't go outside" she told her mom. Such contrasts.
My older son flew to NY to look at a boat he wants to buy. Adventurous.
Not sure I'll mow for a few days. Sure have a fine crop of clover! :o and bunny's

Afternoon all.....
Good evening, all. Cooling off rapidly on the NH seacoast, with an east breeze helping off and on.
I presented at the NMRA event Dave didn't go to. Tom Oxnard spoke about using his iPhone and a 30-day demo of Helicon Focus software to make model photos with enormous depth of field. But not quite enough to read his Burma Shave signs 10 feet away. Perhaps 30 images instead of 15? Pete Watson brought a demo setup he'd built of Model Railroad Control Systems Advanced Compact Switch Motors. He likes them, I may get one to try. Some of my Kemtron twin-coil machines date to the 1970s. My own slide show went smoothly but I had been asked to go fast and forgot to play the 7-minute cab ride video I'd planned to close with. Then there were a bunch of technical difficulties... I left before they were all resolved, as I needed lunch before anyone showed up for the afternoon tours.
