8) Sunny and cool Wednesday morning. Temp in 50s as we got going, just cracked 60...
A little excitement here overnight. Some dope semi truck "driver" pulled down our access road off the county road and tore up the brand new sign out there then drove down our road, turned up the much narrower road in front to 100-200 yds past us to the house under construction to deliver materials. Our year around caretaker popped a cork and had the police out and the truck driver paid him for the sign, still needs to get his rig out. Part of build agreement was no semi trucks in the area as our private road isn't laid out for big rigs.
Our internet crew is doing preliminary work today later. Hope to be here Saturday for hookup.
Time for breakfast. Peanut butter toast and Diet Coke

Well, Karl, that must have been 'exciting' for the caretaker. I'm sure Words Were Uttered... Good luck with the internet install, it's my sense that fiber in general goes in better than copper wiring.
Muggy but much cooler here today. In a couple minutes, I'll head down to the train room, hit the exercise machine, and then prepare for the new driveshaft wires that should arrive later today. Another thing I ordered was a set of metallic paints (that I learned about from that Barbados Rex YouTube channel.) These should work well for getting different metal tones on the driveshaft, pulleys, machine tools, etc. That should arrive tomorrow. But while I'm waiting for that stuff, I'll mock up one of the aux drive shafts that gets 2 narrow pulleys (driven and idler) and cone pulley, along with the shifter. I should be able to assemble those parts on the bench, and then glue the entire assembly to the ceiling joists on the shop above the machines.

Morning all.....
Morning all,
Already out and got my hair cut. Time to go out for a walk. It "feels like" 92 here already. A part of the "mulching kit" came off the mower Monday, I'll reattach it once I find the instructions.

Another humid day in the 90's. I've breen out running errands and have another one to do this afternoon.
I cut some styrene on my Cricut cutter, OK, scribing where the cut should go. It's .030" thick, so I can't cut all the way through, but it does a nice job of laying out the cut. With the outside lines, it's a simple matter of snapping the waste piece off. Inside, the #11 blade easily follows the scribed grove. Sounds easy. Unless dealing with curved lines, which I am.

Morning all,
Typical Florida day here, hot and very humid.
I'm in the air cond. train shed having a Diet Pepsi and working on the FOS garage build.
Hope all are having a great day.

Good afternoon, all. It's been pleasant in the lower Merrimack Valley, with a cool sea breeze holding temperatures down to the mid-70s. 82 is the forecast high through the weekend. The heads on my spring wheat are getting a tinge of brown, so I've got a week or 10 days to get my combine ready. Wet weather could delay the harvest further.
My morning Zoom got put off, good thing because I couldn't find any way to fix my old laptop software install. Instead I've spent the day re-doing. Went much faster this time, as I knew to avoid the dead ends. Tonight I'll be using XTrackCAD model RR planning software in a meeting about a full-size trolley barn, so actual modeling is unlikely.
Good afternoon to all, it's hotter than heck here in the desert. It's a good time to be inside in the AC. Had to go out yesterday for doctor stuff and saw an interesting sight on the BNSF line into Phoenix. It was parked on a siding used for heavy deliveries.
