Title: Saturday 7-12
Post by: KentuckySouthern on July 12, 2025, 06:39:07 AM
An early  :-\ up this morning when a new round of 'skeeter bites kicked in around Oh-dark-hundred :o

A pot of fresh UP Troll repellant is brewing.   Breakfast will wait until the inner fog is clear. 650 and raining, btw, after a fine mid 70s not a cloud in the sky day yesterday. Of course today is local festival days in two area communities, summer fest, with July 4th's rained date fireworks and the Strawberry fest in Blink and you'll miss it, Cooks. Just to our West a dozen miles or so. Here at the bunker the fiber cable was run up to the house yesterday and the inside installation is scheduled for this morning.

I've some workbench stuff I can putter with as the day progresses.

Enjoy the day all.

Good morning everyone.

Karl, thanks for the second cup.
Hope the rain stops so you can attend those events.

I have another 2 hour drive to get to the Sawtooths today.

Have a great day everyone.

Morning all,

Sixty seven degrees headed to 83 here.  Hopefully less muggy as we had major storms yesterday.  Fortunately after I got home after my road trip.  Dave, I have a Mustang Mach e.  Trip went well,  except that the first charger I tried couldn't "connect" with the vehicle.  Second did fine.  Pics of the haul tomorrow as the stuff is still packed up.  A walk this morning is on the agenda and I really need to work on the FSM kit.

70 to 82, a bit more humid.  Slowly increasing heat and humidity seems to be the pattern for the coming week.

Scotch Club was called for last night to take advantage of the better weather.  We sampled a bunch of 15 year old Glenxxx  I was there for a relatively short time (2 tastes).

More work today on the machine shop, I'll put the painted and cured pulleys on the main drive shaft and then work on the aux shafts.  There's a bit of design/layout work to do.  The plan for those is to mount them to wood bracing that gets glued to the rafters.

Good morning, Karl, Rick, Jeff, Dave and later arrivals. The lower Merrimack valley is getting a little sun now, with breezes.  My wife is at a craft far selling her clay flowers and other work, the kid is helping with an activity at our library, and I've mostly recovered from my track work yesterday.  I'll start the Subroadbed, Roadbed & Track thread I've thought about too long, then after lunch go up and build some more street track.
