On the RR-Line I started a thread called Your Favorite.
It proved to be very popular and many contributed.
It was a good way to learn about different bands and music styles.
The other day Greg (Ensign) mentioned it and Dave gave the OK to start a thread here.
And You and I ~ Yes ~ Symphonic Live
That's a favorite of mine, a great way to start us off, Rick.
Here's another classic from the same time:

Thanks Dave.
Didn't realize the video owner didn't allow sharing the video on other platforms.

Rick,
We had a lot of diverse music and songs on here when it was on RR Lines.
I have many favorite songs but I'll list this one.

Dave, I'm not familiar with that band but it sounds good.
I'll have to look them up.
Tom, thanks for that classic.
I'm sure others here are music lovers and I'd love to see what you like to listen to.
Rick, thanks for bringing this "Your Favorite Songs" topic back to this forum!
I look forward to listening & contributing to it once again!

"It's a Beautiful Day" was slated to play at Woodstock, and couldn't make it. They were replaced by "Santana". And as the old saying goes, "The rest was history..."

I first heard White Bird long ago in the glory years of Boston's WBCN, bought the vinyl album (as well as Marrying Maiden and Choice Quality Stuff Anytime). I ripped White Bird in 2014. Now it's one of sixty four hundred songs on the thumb drive plugged into my car. I'm in the W's of my first pass through it, in alphabetical order by title. I'll probably hear White Bird on my next drive to the Trolley Museum....

Do you remember the daytime only AM station in the late '60s? They played some wild stuff...

I didn't find WBCN till I got an FM tuner. I don't think low power AM would have reached the Merrimack Valley. I know WTBS (MIT) had an AM business (the underlying reason why the Apple Gunkies joke-commercials were made). But Boston college radio sure was great while I lived within range. Still my choice when I'm driving in that direction.
From You and I to Us and Them. ;D
Great choice Rick. From one the finest albums every recorded.

How about this on from the distant past.....

Greg, thanks for joining in.
I looked around for a video of
Down On Phillips Escalator but no joy. Always interesting to hear Ted when he was new on the scene, though, so here's the whole first album with just a photo of the cover:

On college radio, I had the "eyeball set", with this, "Story in Your Eyes" - Moody Blues, "Suite: Judy Blue Eyes" - Crosby, Stills and Nash.

James and Dave, thanks for adding some good songs. 8)
Two versions of the same song.
Some excellent guitar by Tim Pierce on this version.
Not 1, not 2, but 3 reworked classical pieces:

Howdy folks,
There hasn't been a song posted that I don't love. I think I love everything from Sergei Rachmaninov to George Strait. That said, I love the blues, especially sung by Miss Etta:

Of course, on a different night, it might be Bad Company:

A German prog band that started out as a Pink Floyd cover band, pretty obvious why one of my favorite songs.

I'm all over the place, musically (anything but the real twangy s**tkicker country or silly Death Metal ;D). Yesterday, my workout soundtrack was primarily Soundgarden and Metallica...but I spent most of the day driving around to the Grateful Dead. As a teen, I'd go to CBGB's Sunday punk matinee and I've seen the Ramones a dozen times, starting in 9th Grade - so I still have a very soft spot for that stuff, especially Dropkick Murphys and the Clash. But then again, I love Brandi Carlisle and Sarah Mclachlan. I guess I can't be contained ;D
but, if I HAVE TO pick an all-time favorite, I always come back to Led Zeppelin- who will always be the varsity, notably the drums at the beginning of "When the Levee Breaks", which I could listen to over and over.
This one is for Reading Bob and everyone else who's worked in IT/software: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rsDkmVo2fg4 (Stan Rogers, "White Collar Holler")
