Title: Thursday mornin’

Hazy early greetings from predawn Michigan as we collect the early Amazon delivery from the porch.

Today will be  an adventure in seeing if old folks can get wired into the heavens with the new Starlink system.  :-\ May the Force be with me.

The cook has some of Paula Deen's ice cream french toast on the platter with powdered sugar and a warm jug of Michigan Maple syrup and a hot cup of Schuil's of Grand Rapids hand ground Michigan Maple coffee steaming in the silver bullet. Sausage links, maple of course and a bowl of thick buttery grits top it all off. Diet Pepsi for the ACL and Diet Coke for the yoopers. OJ fresh "squozed" in the pitcher.

What cha'all got going today?

Have a goodun y'all

Thanks for the tasty breakfast, Karl. I put a basket of Summercrisp pears and another of Hazelbert nuts on the counter, after I found the nutcracker.

Today I'm packing for the Old Threshers' Reunion and cleaning up stuff around the house for my family's return from Thailand.

It got below 50 last night.  Still cool, mostly sunny, heading to 71.  No complaints from me!  Yesterday's pot luck lunch was great, lots of good food.  And leftovers for for us for the next couple of days.  Tonight, though, I'm meeting friends for dinner, I first met this guy in 1982 when he was still in the Army and I was just out, at a computer conference.  We're the same age, but his service was deferred while he finished his PhD.  They come to the Maine coast each year, and we meet for dinner.

Other than that, I'll start work on positioning the machine tools and attaching the belts.  I want to mess a bit with Deluxe Materials Tacky Glue for the belts, so I'll experiment with gluing paper to metal using that.  If that fails, it'll be epoxy.  I might be able to do 2 tools in a day, one on each side.  I don't want to bump a tool once it's in position and its belts are hooked up, until the long-cure epoxy is done!

Good morning everyone.

Mid 80's and sunny here in Coulee City, WA.

Karl, thanks for the second cup and you shouldn't have a problem getting the Starlink set up.
Nice picture.

Driving about 100 miles west today to get closer to the next hike I'm doing.

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning! It has been awhile since I checked in. It has been a very busy summer. It is great to see that some of you have managed to find some time for your workbenches.

Good morning.  I just finished a short walk.  I'll do another one this afternoon.

It's overcast and in the 70's here in Tidewater Virginia.  It's breezy, and it looks like Erin is only going to give us tidal flooding and we're far enough inland not to be affected.

I gotta figure the best way to assemble some building walls I made.  I'm not confident it'll be as easy to do as I'm visualizing it.

Afternoon all,

A small storm just blew thru the area. Typical for this time of day/time of year. Not much going on down here.

Have a great one!

Oh, I'm certainly glad to be retired. My company was starting to embrace AI a couple of years before I retired. I didn't bother with it.
