8) Early sun and a promise of rain later in the day.
I worked on securing the outside line for the Starlink. Anchors and silicone sealed the rubber seal.
In the afternoon I accompanied the Doll to Michael's for some paint supplies. The whole store looked like someone put it in a blender then returned everything using mirrors all turned around and confused yet orderly just backwards to how it's been forever >:(. It was well stocked in the art and craft supplies. Afterward we stopped at a nearly empty Cracker Barrel for a decent dinner. No changes made at this one thankfully. Food was "ok" as was the server.
Bench time last evening , scenic stuff. More today? Could be.
So, what's in your plans?

Good morning, Karl and later arrivals. I got home from the Midwest Old Threshers' about noon yesterday, after 24 hours in the car and one on a commuter train. My wife got back from Thailand last week; I was quite happy to see her in the MBTA commuter rail parking lot. Now I'm unpacked and sorting through two weeks' mail.
A couple of errands later today, and a track inspection report to finish. I haven't been up to the layout yet, maybe this evening.
Welcome Home, James & Family. Karl, I understand Michaels is redoing its stores to add fabric to make up for the closing of Joanns Fabric stores.
Another great late summer/early fall day. Got down to 51 last night (again, a couple degrees below what was predicted, -no complaints here-), currently 62 heading to 77. Our yard guy came first thing this morning, even though wife and I were sleeping in, so I had to get up and pay him. ;D No work in the train room yesterday, instead I reseeded a patch in the yard. Today I'll tackle much needed pick-up/put-away.

Good morning. I just finished a walk. We're going to be in the 70's today, enjoying it.
I have some styrene work to do. It's tedious, but I'm making progress. I'm cutting brick sheets along the brick lines to fit windows properly.

Now that's hilarious. I found a fabric department in this Michael's. It was a table little bigger than a typing table, with ruled measurements and a hand drawn sign "Fabric Department" Appears to be a "work in progress..,"
Afternoon all.....
