We're well into October again, the nice weather continues in Michigan.
We traveled back home from Northern Command to moderately light traffic and arrived safely.
This morning, some toast and leftover things from the cold bag from the trip. Need to stock up today.
First off here is a morning PT visit.
Little to add. Enjoy the day all. Our decent weather ill last until Tuesday, 'they' guess.
Be well.

Good morning everyone.
Glad you got back home safely.
Is it Tuesday again? :o ;D
A gym visit this morning then not sure what else.
Have a great day everyone.
Good morning, Karl, Rick and later arrivals. The NH seacoast got down to around 40F last night. Today's forecast high is only 63 but the weekend will climb back to the 80s. We still need rain, maybe something will come of the low headed for Miami.
No modeling expected today or over the weekend. Today I'm doing a presentation about the Flying Yankee, then heading off for a couple of college tours that are conveniently near places on my "to visit" list: Strasburg, Gettysburg and Orbisonia PA. No, I didn't steer the kid in this direction, but it was extremely convenient that the colleges' "visit weekends" coincided with a craft fair my wife has a table at. I hope that doesn't use up my remaining 2025 good luck...
Tuesday, Thursday. It's all the same when you're retired...
James, and anyone else visiting Gettysburg: I STRONGLY recommend hiring a Licensed Battlefield Guide. (Best to make reservations.) I've done a half-dozen guided tours, the introductory tour twice (as part of a group), then some special focus area tours, either solo or with 1 or 2 friends. EACH has been outstanding. This will be the best $70 you've spent on an historical topic. https://gettysburgtourguides.org

Well, it IS one of those "T" days. Duh...Twoo-th Day :( :o .
Track is down for my DCC/DC testbed:

Outside radius is 18", my minimum radius. The inside 'passing track' is 15", so I can see if a loco will run OK on that. The N scale track is for my HOn30 locos.
Next step is to solder track feeders and then think through and install the DCC-EX station and associated controls (e.g. "there's a short" idiot light", directional switch for DC, etc). I have a diesel that I've verified works correctly, and a new factory DCC-equipped steamer to try after the diesel.

Afternoon all.....

Karl, I can't tell you how many times I've woken up in the morning and had to look at the computer to see what day it was.
I'm still trying to figure out where September went? Nice test track Dave.
