Good Morning Folks;
The lights are on in the Clubhouse, coffee is brewing and donuts on the counter. I woke up to learn that apparently some verifiable progress has been made in the Middle East. I hope so, we sure know how to kill each other, be nice to see if we can learn to live with each other. I don't think saying that is political so please do not take it that way.
It also sounds like I also touched a nerve for a few concerning NMRA, I did not mean to. Judging contests, no matter in what field are by their nature 'judgemental'. My efforts to improve my own modeling and learn new or better ways to accomplish this includes using the NMRA AP program as a benchmark.
Weather today can only be described as wonderful. 60 out right now going into the 70's so the windows will be open! Today I plan to work on re-arranging my own work area incorporating some of the ideas I learned at the convention. I also ordered a couple of tools I saw that I think will really help me. Well that is it for now. Hope everyone has a great day!
Jim
Good Morning Jim and all who follow
My layout looms behind me, taunting me as ever, as I have been a neglectful worker. Lots of real-world stuff going on including some legit negotiation to sell my share of the practice (aka RETIREMENT :o)...I've got to believe that will have a significant effect on my ability to justify hours working on the layout.
Hope today is a good day for all of you.
John
Morning all.....
Mornin' from F-O-G-G-Y Michigan. Temp in the low 50s may hit 700 with maybe some sun.
I'm off this morning to OPS at Andy Keeney's Nashville Road

I guess the LIONS lost to Taylor Swifts boys.
Well, the forecast was for more than 1.5" of rain from a Nor'easter. We're getting the wind, but not the much-needed rain. Sigh... Mostly what we're getting here is a 'rain of pine needles' from the white pines.
After the usual Monday morning activities, I should get back to the train room late morning.

Morning all,
Thanks for turning on the lights Jim. Congrats on your two awards. I have my own thoughts on the NMRA, specifically the Sunshine Region, so I'll not comment on the forum. However, you will hear from me next time you are at the SBG.
I had a very early visit to my slice and dice Dermatologist this morning. Looks like I have another small squamous cell carcinoma on the right calf. Biopsy taken and I'm sure it will require a slice and dice session later this month.
Have a safe and happy day everyone.
Tom
Good morning everyone.
It's 34 here in Oregon and heading to 45 later.
Chance of s$#@ in the forecast.
Jim, thanks for the second cup and congratulations on the well deserved awards.
Ended up camping at a trailhead and Star and I will do some exploring on the trail shortly.
Have a great day everyone.
Good morning, all. My weather (and Dan's, if he checks in) is the same as Dave's. I've lit our wood cookstove and taken care of chickens and barn cats.
Jim, I was a member of the HUB Division for 10 years before I joined the NMRA. The HUB was the largest New England NMRA division last I knew, and has had a lot going on over the 35 years I've been a member. To date all my AP certificates are based on building my layout or volunteering for the HUB, plus 5-10% extra effort for paperwork.
Modeling today is unlikely, either I'll be helping the plumber who offered to come today, or patching around the thing I need fixed if he doesn't show.
Morning everyone
Jim thanks for the coffee.
Weather here in South Jersey is a Nor'easter that never came. That the "WEENIES" talked about for the last 4 days!!!
Everyone have a great day!! :)
Jerry
Morning all,
The Weather Is Here, Wish You Were Beautiful (Jimmy Buffet). It's nice outside.
Think I'll hit the workbench after lunch.
Have a great one!
