After finishing the drug store I was looking for something easier to work and found in my stash this bank building that would work well next to the drug store, so onto the build.
The kit.

I have always been a enamel paint person and have never used acrylic paint except for weathering washes and this will be my first go at total acrylic paint. I used pueblo for the main brick color using a sponge to apply, then burnt umber.js1024_20251013_211707_Fotor.jpg
Then super diluted white for the mortar lines between the bricks. Painted the front with pebble color.

Used Hunter green for the windows and doors.js1024_20251016_203807_Fotor.jpg
I printed an interior picture that I found on the web thinking I was going to have to install a wall just back from the front windows but I just curved the picture and attached on either side.js1024_20251018_221523_Fotor.jpg

Till next time, back to the bench.
Two thumbs up from a former banker! ;D
Nice, Gary.
That curved picture has worked amazingly well. Nice job on cutting in the green, too.
Cheers, Mark.
Very nice and nice coloring!
Jerry
Terrific coloring and bank scene. I almost always paint with acrylics. I find that using a flat color rattle can spray works best for the initial base coat.
Excellent brick work!, the photo in front is well done.
Nice looking bank

The curved interior looks great. I would have thought that you would have seen the curvature looking into the building, but it is not noticeable at all. Very well done.
Gary I can only echo what the others have said. Great looking building!!
Gary,
I don't do models of plastic or resin, but I like the coloring of the bricks and the paint you used.
The medium type is hardly noticeable. It may be because you used two colors instead of just one.
Very nice modeling. Interior too!
Rich
Gary,
Very well done. I also like th4e curved photo effect. I'll deep that trick in mind.
Tom
Howdy Gary. The brick paint is fantastic. The clever interior is a trick I'll use. Thanks. I'm looking forward to the bank completion. Have fun, mike
Thanks Bob, Mark, Jerry, Curt, Karl, Ron, Larry, Rich, Tom and Mike for the comments and following along. Got in some bench time yesterday and got the 2nd and 3rd floor pictures installed as well as the rear wall section glued in place.js1024_20251025_213043.jpgjs1024_20251025_213201.jpg
Got this one finished up, added a sign to the front and a few other small details.js1024_20251028_165200_Fotor.jpgjs1024_20251028_165238_Fotor.jpgjs1024_20251028_172302_Fotor.jpgjs1024_20251028_172537_Fotor.jpg
They look outstanding Gary.
Beautiful modeling!
Jerry
Looks great, Gary.
Do you need to add scuppers and downpipes? Or are these internal?
Cheers, Mark.
Great model! I'm just starting this hobby and I'm glad I discovered this forum!!!

Awesome work and a great save on that metal store sign!
Thanks everyone for the comments. Mark, thanks for the suggestion of scuppers and down-pipes, this is perfect to hide the seam of the brick in those back corners :) js1024_20251031_160659_Fotor.jpg

Looks fantastic.
Don't forget to add water stains on the sidewalks where the downspouts dump stuff from the roof.

Looks great, Gary.
You could add some storm water grates in the concrete pavement, too. I'm really enjoying watching your work on these urban kits.
Cheers, Mark.
