Started this kit many moons ago and never finished, needless to say it kind of fell apart from rough handling and was put back in it's package. I found it again going through my stash of stuff and this will fit right in with the building kick I've been on lately. The front and all the brick sides I had already painted using enamel paints so all that was needed is reassembly and detailed. The pictures are where I'm at right now.

Howdy Gary, exceptional job painting and building the structure. Are you lighting the interior? Have fun, mike
Yeah, super paint job! And good color choices for 1920s and beyond.
dave
Beautiful!
How many beers did it take to steady your hands for that paint job!
Did you make the Mohawk signage yourself, or was that part of the kit?
I ask, because most of my business names on my North Coast Railroad are indigenous names to upstate NY

Really nice paintwork, Gary.
The City Classics kits are a joy to work with. They go together very well and are very crisp, but it is a lot of work to get the paintwork as good as you have got it.
Cheers, Mark.
Great looking build.
Wonderful looking structure! 8)
That is very well done!!
Jerry
Nice modeling Gary.
Rich
The paint job looks fantastic and the colour selection is spot on.

Dave, only a few beers. The signage was something I had in my stash that would fit the area.
Thanks for the reply.
What beer do you recommend?
🤔😂🤣

Yeah, really! That beer seems to be quite effective, judging by the results.

Finally managed some time to work on some of the smaller details, downspouts, lights and FD connection on the rear of the building.

The roof top was in bad need of some details and think I filled it up, billboard, water tower and doghouse.

that's it for now, sidewalk next.
Great looking details Gary.
Very nice detail work. Especially the downspouts.
Jeff
Yes, nice work. I particularly like your signage: choice of fonts, layout, the number of elements all fit well with a pre-1950 era.
Thanks guys for the comments. got the sidewalks formed, plaster poured, glued down to some 1/4", painted and stained , then jumped to the next one.js1024_20251123_160402_Fotor.jpg

Gary. do you recall the roof top tank manufacturer? I'd like to grab a few of those for future projects.
Howdy Gary,
The structures are amazing, especially the paintwork. The rooftop details complement the beautiful structures. The overall scene is convincing.
Have fun
mike

Dave, these are scratch built. I use a paper tube that is about 8 scale feet in diameter and wrap with 3/32nd bass wood.
I think Walthers did a rooftop tank kit. That scratchbuilt tank looks really good.
dave
Thanks for the update.
Scratch built!
In that case, where do you live so I can steal it?
🤔😅😂
I grabbed the same building on the left of the photo "pre-annoyed" at a train show a few years ago for maybe 10 bucks. Couldn't go wrong for the price.
On the right is another City Classics buildings that has been modified and still under construction. Someday....
Since the back would never be seen. I sliced the right wall into thirds. And brought the back side around to be more of a receiving area. These kits hold lots of possibilities for kit bashing. Good stuff for urban settings

Gary,
Nice looking structures and some great looking paint jobs too !
Tommy
I'll second Tom on fine structures with nice paint and detail.
