I just joined the forum. I was on RR-L for a long time. Thought it was time to get back in the swing of things. This is a diorama that I built for a friends layout. He models the Santa Fe in southern California. This is scratch built using doors and windows along with all details made with my 3d Printer. If anyone is interested I could do a build thread. Thanks for looking.
Mike, welcome and it's great having you here.
Your friend must be thrilled to have that model on his layout.
Welcome aboard, Mike. Great model.
Jeff
Welcome Mike. Great build lucky friend!

Rick Thanks for the welcome. Yes he is I have done 5 models for his layout so far. I'm working on designing some background buildings to go behind yards and such. Going to use them on my layout. I'm making them with my 3d printer so they can be changed to look different on other layouts.

Tom
Mike great job on the build; your friend should be pleased. Welcome to the forum.
Thanks Philip for the welcome.
Tom thanks for the welcome and the nice comments.
Larry thanks for the nice comments. So far Jim has liked everything I've done. He lets me look at a site on the the layout and I let my imagination go. ;D
Here are a few more shots of the packing house under construction. 3D printed windows and creates. also the conveyor system.
Nice progress. I'm interested in refrigerator car moves, both origin and destination.
In the 70s every night two 50-load moves behind SW1500s crossed Cambridge MA going from the PC (NYC) Beacon Park yard to the Produce Terminal in Chelsea. Time-sensitive meat, milk and produce moves were the foundation of the B&M policy that inbound interchange cars should be at the customer or "constructively placed" ready to go to the customer within 24 hours.
Mike,
Great looking building and details.
Mike,
Nice looking buildings. Are those shingles Campbell's or some other brand?
Rich
Really nice, Mike. Welcome to the forum. Maybe I'll watch the DVD I have on the Tropicanna Express tomorrow thanks to your excellent build. :)
James thanks for the nice comments. I have been into refer movements for a long time. The Santa Fe moved solid trains of refers from southern California to northeaster markets mostly the New York area.
Gray thanks for the comments.
Rich thanks for the comments. I make my own shingles. I use heavy duty index cards. I plan on doing a post on how to make them.
Thanks Bob. At one time a couple of friends and Me were going the do the Tropicana train to run on the club modules. I have slides I took of the train.
Here are a couple more shots of the build. This is the packing shed.
Rich I posted a how to on making shingles on the Scratch building Forum
